The Lions (5-0) scored early and often as sophomore Meredith Shulzitski scored the game's opening goal 3:37 into the contest.

Less than a minute later, the Lions scored again. This time senior Mandy Robinson put the ball past West Chester goalkeeper Joelle Maguire, the first goal of her career.

Larson assisted on both the opening goals.

"I've been trying," Robinson said. "Trying to push off quite a bit. It's hard when you're in the backfield, but you get up there."

Six minutes later, Larson again got into the act — this time scoring a goal herself.

Then with 12:28 remaining in the first half, senior Traci Anselmo scored her sixth goal of the year, on assists from Larson and Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week Maegan Galie.

West Chester's attack was largely ineffective as it never tested goalkeeper Heidi Leuchte, named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week.

As the second half began, Morett began resting some of the starters. Junior Julie Sposito saw her first action of the season between the pipes, making one save.

The Rams played more aggressive in the second half, but could never get the chances they needed.

The Lions closed out the scoring when sophomore Kiley Kulina found freshman Nora Graber on a one-on-one with Maguire.

Graber put the ball past the goalkeeper.

"Little Nora," Morett said, "she's a half-pint. You look at her out there and think 'What's this kid gonna do?' But she's very poised."
