Einhorn name now official
BORDEAUX, France -- It's official: Ira and Annika are Mr. and Mrs. Einhorn.
Einhorn's Swedish-born wife told a reporter yesterday that they'd petitioned authorities in England to change the names on their marriage license.
The original license was issued when Einhorn was in hiding, masquerading as a British writer named Eugene Mallon -- a name he'd lifted from an Irish bookseller.
Just last month, Annika said, they received a fax from England saying that the name on their marriage license had been changed to Einhorn.
"Now you have to call me Mrs. Annika Einhorn," she said yesterday, smiling happily.
She said her husband had been working hard, writing two books and toiling in their garden, until his arrest.
"I hope he will be free next Tuesday because the lawn needs him," she said.
