PROGRAMME 2
Grainger Danger
Story Summary
The tapping at the window turns out to be Polly Hobbs, Amy's granddaughter. Norman and Dennis slowly begin to get used to a profusion of food, a strange new environment and make friends with Polly. Meanwhile, Mary is to earn her keep by working as a maid for Grainger and Miss Millington. Grainger, the owner of the Hall, also owns Wells Farm and is determined to make Aunty Amy move. She finds the farm a struggle with her son away at war - especially when someone cuts the wire and lets the cows loose.
