Saturday Zoo Explorers

You'll find new and exciting ways for your child to learn in Happy Hollow zoo education classes. Classes are designed for ages 5-6 and are taught by trained zoo educators. Several live animals will make an appearance, helping to enhance the learning experience. Classes will also visit the zoo and focus on animals related to class topics.

These themed classes are especially designed to give ages 5-6 a special inside look at what goes on in the animal world. Class size limited to 16 children.

Leap, Crash, Smack! No, it's not a fight. It's a leap of leopards, a crash of rhinocerous and a smack of jellyfish. Some animals live alone, but many animals live in groups. Come see our mob of meerkats, our parade of pigs and frolic with our tribe of goats while learning about the family life of some of your favorite animals.

Session 3:
Saturday: November 18, 10:00am - noon

Hot Days, Cool Nights: Life isn't easy in a place that's hot, dry and dusty. With little water and not much shade, desert creatures have to come up with many clever ways to survive. Join us in discovering how animals, like meerkats, hunt for food, tortoises find water, and fennec foxes stay cool.

Session 9:
Saturday: January 27, 10:00am - noon

Fee: $15 for SBZS members; $20 for non-members
