When / Why do you need Encryption for your Email or Computer?

You should be using PGP Encryption, or some other strong protection if one or more of the following apply:

  • You would use an envelope if posting in the mail.
  • You would sign if it was a paper document.
  • The information is personal or private.
  • You do not want your worst enemy, or strangers, to read it.
  • It contains personal / private information about someone else.
(You have a right to decide to divulge your own private concerns to snoops and strangers,
you do not have any right to violate the privacy of family, friends, or others. )
  • The content is confidential.
  • Any other reason that might apply.

We strongly recommend using PGP Email encryption as a matter of course.
PGP is perfectly secure, guarantees who wrote the Email, and that it has not been altered.
You send us your PGP Public Key block, and we'll send you ours.
