The Bill Monroe tribute album has been re-release with a new track that includes MCC. The song is Uncle Pen and includes Ricky Skaggs, Travis Tritt, Sharon and Cheryl White, Charlie Daniels and MCC.

MCC donated some items to the NARAS online charity auction.

A new MCC song appears on the soundtrack for We Were Soldiers. The song is titled My Dear Old Friend and was written by Patty Griffin. This soundtrack was released on February 26.

MCC, Emmylou Harris, and Cheryl Crow will contribute "Flesh and Blood" to the Johnny Cash tribute album which will be release May 28.

MCC announced at the Los Angeles concert that her next album will be a collection of covers, one being "Flying Red Horse" and that she plans to marry in June.

Come On Come On was certified 5x Platinum on 01/09/02.

MCC's Life 360 episode will air October 12 on PBS.

"Simple Life" will be released to AAA radio October 9th.

MCC to take part in a Memorial Concert in Washington DC on Monday at the Kennedy Center. The Washington Post has all the details. This concert will air live on the internet. The show starts at 6pm EST. (Thanks to Peggy for this information.)

The Vietnam Veterans of America Foundation (VVAF) announced today it was canceling its landmine awareness concerts planned for next week in light of Tuesday's devastating terrorist attacks in New York City and Washington, DC. The performances were scheduled September 19 at The Birchmere in Alexandria, VA, and September 20 at the Warner Theatre in Washington, DC. For more information, check the VVAF's website.

Mary Chapin Carpenter saw the burning World Trade Center towers as she made her way into Manhattan after a 7 a.m. flight from Washington, D.C., to New York’s LaGuardia Airport.

Carpenter and her band members went to an Upper Manhattan hotel. “She’s in shock and unable to comment,” a spokeswoman for her record label said.
