Wer bin ich?

Laurie is providing the sound and visual concept for this pavillion which will be part of Expo '02 in Yverdon-les-Bains, Switzerland. She explains the project in her artist's statement: "I have been working with the 'Who am I?' exhibition team for some time now and been experimenting with sound and vision. I believe the end product will be really sensational, provocative and attractive a vast carpet, full of ideas, colour, and unique interactivity. The theme of individual and collective identity is so powerful because it is addressed in such different ways, from philosophical to playful. A work of art like this only comes into existence through the skills of many people. From the technical point of view, I am completely confident that the images of 60 people will be created in an absolutely magical way. The technology used is state-of-the-art, but the experience of the exhibition itself is not subordinated to the technology. I am delighted to be able to make my contribution to this wonderful project."
