SoulTrain.com: So welcome back to Soul Train.

3LW: Thank you.

ST: Now there's been some changes since the last time you were here. So tell us what happened and what's gonna happen?

Adrienne: Well you know, right now, yes, the line up has changed, but I think one of the biggest things that we've had to realize that with this territory controversy's gonna come and 3LW's gonna continue to do their thing. It's just me and Kiely right now, and the album is coming out October 22nd, A Girl Can Mack, and we're really proud of that and we're just going to continue moving forward.

ST: People have e-mailed us, and they want to know are you gonna add someone else or are you gonna keep it the same? Do you know yet?

Kiely: Not right now. We really just haven't even thought about that yet. We're really just focused on the album. The break-up happened at a very, very critical point for 3LW promoting the album, so right now we're just really trying to pick up the pieces and keep it movin.'

ST: So tell us about Cheetah Girls. What's that all about?

3LW: Cheetah Girls!

Adrienne: Alright! It's a Disney movie that me and Kiely are working on right now. We actually just flew in from Canada to do Soul Train...

Kiely: ...but we're flying back tomorrow. We actually start shooting on Monday. It's a hot movie.

Adrienne: That's right. It's some really cool people in the movie. It's about four friends who start a girl group, and it basically shows the ups and downs of their careers and of their friendship and how they stayed strong and can remain friends even though they are in a business together, and we thought that was a really important message. And not only that, but there's incredible people in the movie. Rayven Simone is in the movie, Sabrina Bryant, and also Lynn Whitfield. Yes, [from Thin] Line Between Love and Hate. We're a big fan, so we're happy to work with her.

ST: And it's going to be on the Disney Channel? Cool, cool.

Adrienne: Yes.

ST: And you have a Christmas album coming out.

Kiely: Naughty and Nice, November 26th. We're very excited about the album. It's definitely not a traditional Christmas album and I think that's really important that people know that you don't have to put us in a category with Celine Dion or Mariah Carey...

Adrienne: Tony Braxton...

Kiely: ...you know, to have a holly, jolly Christmas. Nah, I definitely think that even if it wasn't Christmas I'd still pump the album. I think that's important, yeah.

ST: And people have been paying attention to the song on the Barber Shop Soundtrack too.

Adrienne: Really? We haven't seen the movie yet. We're definitely gonna take some time to do that, but yeah, we're big fans of Eve. We think she's an incredible artist and we heard she did incredible on the movie. Saw the commercial, she looked really good, so we're big fans.

ST: Now tell us, this is the last question. There's something different about 3LW. Your style, your attitudes, since the first time you guys came out. Like what's your goal, what kind of image are you trying to portray now?

Adrienne: I think one of the biggest things we are trying to portray is that we're real, you know what I mean. We are who we are. We definitely want to portray that. Definitely, you know, representin' for young girls of color doing their thing and that A Girl Can Mack. A girl can do anything a guy can do and that's something that we want to show young ladies out there.
