Contact Lens Case Cleaning and Maintenance

Important Contact Lens Case Steps

Contact lens cases can be a source of bacteria growth. Contact lens cases should be emptied, cleaned, rinsed with solutions recommended by the lens case manufacturer or hot tap water and allowed to air dry.  Contact lens cases should be replaced at regular intervals, as recommended by the contact lens case manufacturer or your eye care practitioner.

While you are wearing contact lenses you should rinse your storage case in hot water and leave it open to air dry on a clean hand towel.   Remember to rinse the contact lens case again with hot water before storing your contact lenses inside.

All contact lens cases should be replaced every 3-4 months to prevent bacterial contamination.  Please do not store your contact lenses in anything other than your contact lens case.
