Nickel News will offer advice based on population and the number of distribution points in your area. However, the final price decisions are yours alone.
How are geographic areas for editions determined?
From past experience, communities with a population of 40,000 or less can usually support at least one Nickel News edition. Ideally, there should be 25-30 restaurants and other distribution points in your area. Some associate publishers also deliver to other businesses as well. There are a number of communities with 10,000-12,000 in population that are doing extremely well with one edition of Nickel News. It depends a lot on the shopping characteristics of each community. However, Nickel News Inc. will work with you to determine the number of editions that are reasonable for your chosen area; but if you feel you can establish additional editions within your area, you may do so.
How many editions can one associate publisher own?
An associate publisher is free to publish as many editions as it is economically feasible within your geographic territory. Nickel News Inc. wants to insure that those who do the work reap the rewards.
Can I sell my business?
You may sell all operational editions subject to approval by Nickel News Inc. New associate publishers must sign a new agreement and agree to abide by the terms and conditions of that agreement.
