Just six years ago, Malden Mills®, the inventor and maker of Polartec® performance fabrics, was devastated by the largest industrial fire in Massachusetts history. The third generation owner of our company, Aaron Feuerstein, became a national hero to millions and a role model for corporate responsibility by the decisions he made while the wreckage still smoldered. He vowed to rebuild Malden Mills® on the same site and continued to pay his employees their wages and benefits during the rebuilding effort. His actions saved hundreds of jobs in the community.

Today, Malden Mills® and its 1500 employees face a different challenge, brought on by competition from cheap imitation products and the nations slowing economy.
