Well I checked this Korean comedy after someone recommended it and I thought it wasn't bad. Its been called as the "Korean American Pie" and having viewed the movie I can see why.

The story basically follows some 28-year-old loser in High School and his whacked out buddies. The loser apparently loves one of the more "popular" girls in school and aside from all the whacky situations him and his buddies get into, we see the loser try to woo the girl by helping her out, only to get himself hurt (litterally) for the most-part. Also if you've seen the Korean horror flicks The Horror Game and Phone, you'll notice the popular chick is the star in those films as well.



The movie has a lot of funny scenes, but they're all pretty gross in one way or another since they are all pretty much sex-related. One gross scene involved some guy spewing his semen on a frying pan so he can cook it and show how it looks just like an egg, only to have the "loser" mistakenly eat it in a sandwhich later on.

Another REALLY gross scene would have to be the one where this girl kept throwing up pretty hard, then when she finishes she immediately makes out with some guy (open mouth, with tongue) and when they finish the guy's mouth has all this stuff around it and he spits out something chunky. Pretty gross stuff.



There are a lot of scenes that I laughed at and it maybe has a couple scenes that made me laugh a lot, but overall it wasn't as funny as American Pie, but it does have a more meaningful story in the end.

Unlike American Pie where the theme was to get laid before High School ends or to have sex in general, in this movie since we basically only follow one character and occassionally follow one of the "buddies," we get to see a nice love story unfold between the loser and the chick he's in love with. We see it bloom as the film goes on, because the girl notices how the guy is always there for her, even when she had an abortion due to one of the popular guys gettin' pregnant. I thought it was pretty good that it actually had a little love-thing goin' on between the two characters, because I had no idea there would be a serious situation in the film when I saw it.



One of the funnier situations involved the loser having to climb out the window to sneak in the next room to get some clothes, and seeing two other guys already on the ledge of the other window peeping, and he ends up getting his pants caught on something, which causes it to fall to his ankles (which isn't good because he drank something supposedly stronger than viagra prior to this) and then they all get spotted by someone outside. The next thing u know it, the loser is held hostage by the guys (because they don't wanna be known as peeping toms) and a swat-team is called in, so we and a whole bunch of other people, see the loser with his pants down to his ankles and a hard-on, with the two guys. Funny when you watch it and the whole scene is very much like American Pie.



I've never seen so much masturbation in one movie before until I saw this. It seemed like someone was masturbating every 10 mins. It's funny for a while, but it gets a little tedious, though they try to change the situation around a bit. It's always funny seeing someone get caught, especially when it's the opposite sex.



Although the characters weren't very good, and the story seemed iffy at times, it was a good comedy and I had fun watching it. Overall I'd give the flick a 7-rating. There were a lot of hot Korean chicks and some good funny scenes. Worth a watch if you're a big fan of sex comedies. Also, as expected, there's a lot of nudity in the flick and luckily all from the ladies
