Tom Ramsay was Madge's brother. He spent his formative years in the little street that bares his name, but later moved to Brisbane with the rest of the family.

He returned after the death of his wife Doreen and moved into the family house with Madge. You can imagine two Ramsay's trying to co-habit – apparently you could hear them shouting all the way over in West Waratah! At one stage, Tom even hatched a plan to sell No. 24 to a property developer who wanted to build a supermarket on the site, but I think Madge quickly put-paid to that idea!

Terrible accident

Tom eventually left to live with his daughter, Moira, but returned briefly to care for Gemma, his second daughter, after her terrible, motorcycle accident.
