Caboonbah Homestead is situated on the Esk-Somerset Dam Road, just ten minutes drive from Esk or Toogoolawah, and is open to the public on weekends and public holidays by appointment.

There are picnic facilities on the site and the view from the Lookout over the Brisbane River is breathtaking. This has made it a popular location for weddings and many family groups who picnic in the grounds for free.

Caboonbah Homestead is also a great place for family reunions. Accommodation is available close by as many new Bed & Breakfasts are springing up in the Brisbane Valley, some catering for larger numbers of people. You will need to book in advance and be sure to enjoy the whole weekend in the Brisbane Valley as there is so much to see & do.

Tours of Homestead

$5.00 per person & pensioners

$3.50 per student

$12.50 per family (children under 12 years of age)

Guided tours are conducted regularly and group bookings can be arranged, by appointment, for any day of the week.

Buses need to book in advance so volunteer staff can be arranged. These tours are catered for with billy tea and damper, morning tea, salad, sandwiches or hot lunches.

Wheelchair Access: Caboonbah Homestead has ramps into all buildings, lots of good cement paths and wheelchair friendly toilets as well.

Souvenirs can also be purchased from the Craft Cottage - a small craft shop which stocks local handmade crafts. .
