Entries (up to 500 words, typed, double-spaced) must be received via mail, e-mail, or fax by March 1, 2006. Include your name, address, phone number, and e-mail address. And keep it decent because you want the whole world to read it. Due to the large number of entries, we cannot respond to individual questions. Entries will not be returned. Winning and runners-up entries from previous years cannot be resubmitted.

The decision of the judges is final. We reserve the right to publish the winning entries in Hemispheres and to publish the winning entries and two runners-up from each contest on the Web. Contestants grant ownership, publication rights, and the right to release entries to other media to each of the sponsors. The Faux Faulkner Contest is sponsored by Hemispheres, the University of Mississippi's Department of English and Center for the Study of Southern Culture, and Yoknapatawpha Press. The Imitation Hemingway Competition is sponsored by Hemispheres.
