"Lost" remained strong for ABC Wednesday, but two hours' worth of "CSI" shows put CBS atop the ratings for the night.
CBS averaged a 10.1 rating/16 share in primetime. ABC finished second at 7.9/13, followed closely by NBC at 7.6/12. FOX, 3.8/6, took fourth, followed by UPN, 3.0/5, and The WB, 2.9/4.
The Big Three were tightly bunched in the adults 18-49, with CBS' 4.9 rating topping the list in the ad-friendly demographic. ABC, 4.8, and NBC, 4.7, were right behind. FOX averaged 2.5, and UPN and The WB tied for fifth at 1.9.
"Lost" won the 8 p.m. hour for ABC with a 10.2/16. CBS was second with "60 Minutes," 7.2/12. "Hawaii" finished third for NBC. "That '70s Show," 4.0/7, and "Quintuplets," 3.5/5, gave fourth place to FOX, beating The WB's "Smallville," 3.6/6. "America's Next Top Model" came in at 3.2/5 for UPN.
A rerun of "CSI," 10.8/16, gave CBS the lead at 9 p.m. NBC moved into second with a one-time-only Wednesday edition of "The Apprentice," 9.0/14. "The Bachelor," 5.7/9, suffered a big dropoff from its lead-in and finished third for ABC. FOX held steady with an hour of "The Bernie Mac Show." The premiere of "Kevin Hill" averaged 2.9/4 for UPN, good enough to beat "The Mountain" on The WB.
At 10 p.m., "CSI: New York" scored a 12.3/20 to keep CBS on top. "Law & Order" averaged 8.9/14 for NBC, while the time-period premiere of "Wife Swap" on ABC held its own with a 7.9/13.
