Michelle Rodriguez, a star on ABC's "Lost," complained after her arrest for drunken driving earlier this month that police were taking away her freedom.

Officers pulled Rodriguez over early on Dec. 1 after spotting her black Mercedes allegedly weaving down Pali Highway in the Honolulu-bound lanes from Kailua.

Another "Lost" star, Cynthia Watros, was arrested 15 minutes later on the same road when police saw her car also moving erratically.

For the first time in the history of the guilds, three new television award categories will recognize overall excellence in writing of episodic series. These new awards — Outstanding Achievement in Writing for a Dramatic Series, Comedy Series, and New Series — will be presented to all the writers of the winning series. The nominated series in these categories were voted on by the memberships of both guilds.

Rodriguez, who is awaiting a court hearing in an alleged drunk-driving case, was ordered yesterday to pay $357 in fines and court costs for driving 83 mph in a 55 mph zone on the H-2 Nov. 1.

Rodriguez and fellow "Lost" star Cynthia Watros were also arrested Nov. 24 in Kailua for suspicion of drunken driving. They were in separate cars, one behind the other, and police said they were observed driving erratically. The two were later released after they each posted $500 bail.

Court records show at least five other actors of the Emmy-award winning series, besides Rodriguez and Watros, have been pulled over by Honolulu police this year, four of them for speeding. According to state of Hawaii traffic abstracts:

» Josh Lee Holloway, who plays the part of Sawyer, was pulled over for allegedly going 53 mph in a 35 mph zone on Sept. 21.
