Nearly three weeks after her tragic death, many fans of ABC's Lost (Wednesdays at 9 pm/ET) still mourn Shannon Rutherford. Sure, Shannon (played by Maggie Grace) was spoiled, emotionally stunted and preoccupied with parading around in bikinis and giving herself pedicures. And yes, she showed questionable judgment when she indulged in an icky precrash hookup with ill-fated stepbrother Boone (Ian Somerhalder). But boy, the girl sure knew how to make an exit.

In Lost's Nov. 9 episode, just as viewers started to get a little insight into what made the rich ***** tick — her daddy died, leaving her with an evil stepmom and (the horror!) no trust fund — she was killed by trigger-happy "tailie" Ana Lucia (Michelle Rodriguez). In one explosive instant, it was bye-bye, Shannon, hello, conflict!

Thursday 12/8/05 Matthew Fox guest stars on Mad TV. It airs at 6pm.

It is a repeat from an episode that aired in 1995, but includes parodies from Matt's previous show "Party of Five". Although it is an old episode, I thought that it might still be fun to watch.

PLENTY of viewers have found TV sensation Lost a bit strange, but for one of its hottest new stars, that's just what life has become since he joined it.

Scots actor Henry Ian Cusick guest stars in the second series as Desmond, a Scot. The show has made him a household name in America and got him his own internet fan club.

He's also become daddy cool to his eldest son and his pals.

A year ago, the actor, from Newton Mearns, near Glasgow, was earning a relatively obscure living on the London stage.

But as he sits in the living room of the house he shares with his wife and three sons in a tiny Kent village, he can reflect on his rise to stardom.

In Lost, 48 survivors of a plane crash are stranded on a desert island.

The programme is watched by a whopping 21 million people in America and 6.4 million in the UK.
