Three armies ready by Stuart - 28 Oct 2006
Big names will fall tomorrow at Kobe World Hall... that, or the matches will last forever. The three captains have been nominated for the Kobe Explosion Wars and there is no copping out by selecting underlings as captains. Each side has a strong captain, and they are...
New Japan SekigunYuji Nagata ~
CaptainRiki Choshu
Manabu Nakanishi
Naofumi Yamamoto
Nagata said he was selected as captain, and it meant more for his team, as there is more thickness to it than any of the other armies. Nagata said that no one has an opinion of Great Bash Heel yet, because they've achieved nothing, and said if they achieve nothing in Kobe, they truly will be Great Big Head. Nagata wants the winning prize to be cola, even if its a lousy award. Does he have a coke and pepsi addiction?
Chono, Nakamura & Gaikokujin TeamMasahiro Chono ~
CaptainShinsuke Nakamura
Giant Bernard
Travis Tomko
The army with no name will surely dispute Nagata's comment that it lacks the same depth as Sekigun, when they compare each wrestler and his equivalent. Although Chono declined to comment, Nakamura, Bernard, and Tomko held a strategy meeting in the ring before today's convention began. Chono's army has an advantage, as they only have to fight once and face the winners of Sekigun vs. GBH. President Simon has also announced his attendance tomorrow, and these four may devise something nasty for the boss.
GBHHiroyoshi Tenzan ~
CaptainTogi Makabe
Shiro Koshinaka
Toru Yano
And so Tenzan will captain his army and much like the others, won't pass the armband to someone like his #2, Makabe, or even the highly capable veteran hand, Koshinaka. Tenzan will risk his own scalp for his faction, which on paper seems underequipped compared to the other groups, but a fully functional unit can defeat star power (just see Jado & Gedo's performance in the G1 Tag League). Tenzan said it has been about a month since he started GBH, and believes Kobe is their first big opportunity to appear as a true unit, since the tag league has kind of separated them on this series. Tenzan said GBH's five men (Ishii has a singles match and will look to upset Iizuka) will repaint the company, and anyone who wants to change New Japan their way, even President Simon, may follow them.

It wounds that me that Nagata is probably going to lose first, as he's been so entertaining recently, but the real rivalry at the moment is GBH vs. Chono/Nakamura etc. |

And Tenzan pinned Nakamura today, which could mean the opposite happens tomorrow. |
