Well, this is it! This is where our heroes part ways with Dean the Dragon and officially begin their new quest to rescue some maiden in distress! This episode is brief, and not really full of funny - as it just sets up our heroes taking off from Dean the Dragon! But there's some subtle foreshadowing here of things to come! (Okay, some of it is about as subtle as being hit with a baseball bat...)

Short. Quick. Fast. Easy.

No, I am not talking about Pawl the Dorf.

Because, then I'd have to include "Dead."

What I am talking about is Neverending Nights - Episode 24: The Watchful Eye. (Right Click, Save As...) A mere 16.2 Megs to download! Hardly anytime to download! Hardly any room on your hard drive! And yet it's another priceless dose of Neverending Nights!

So go on. Don't be afraid. Download it.

Thanks! Comments, good, bad, and down the middle are always welcomed.

(Yes, I know "Too Short" will be one of them! Addicts... the lot of you!)

OMFG, unexpected plot twist! Surprised Shocked Although when I stop and think about it I realise that it's just added another cliche to NeN. Although I didn't actually see this one coming, so I think that makes a first. Awesome.

You know, this episode wasn't really that funny though. Or long. >_>

Your comment:

was more amusing than this episode.

Oh, and you know... Dean totally should have gotten the map from Pawl and just drawn the line on it. It would have been PERFECT. Sad

So, yeah, aside from the plot twist, this episode actually, really kind of sucked. Confused

This episode was the last "piece" for setting up the heroes and their new quest and one small additional thing (which I assume is the "unexpected plot device" you're mentioning).

From here on out the episodes get longer and funny. Very Happy

I promise! Laughing

I will begin filming it probably next week. Adam's on vacation currently, so I'm holding down the fort. I don't mind! I actually enjoy filming since doing it for Neverending Daze! So it's fun to practice. Although, I admit to hating the filming of Dean since we can't manually control the camera to be up at his height.

Yo! Hi, gang!

Tawmis, it was a nice episode, but in my opinion it was too short. But you already said that the next one will be longer, so I guess that takes care of that issue.

I think that this episode was funny, but it was more interesting than funny. It was interesting because I have never seen a dragon that is so altruistic. I mean that guy must be more Lawful Good than a Paladin.

Second, I liked the part about the D&D references such as Driders and Duergar. It makes NeN more magical every time I recognise a bit of D&D lore in it.

And, yes, I also liked the fact that Dean turned himself into a human in order to help the Heroes. At least I think that’s what happened. I have seen many references to Dragons taking up a human form in order to spy on the humans or even join adventures.

There was even one Red Dragon in Baldur´s Gate II that while in human form he hired adventurers to kill a dragon (which was him), simply because he wanted to have a bit of fun (killing adventurers).

On with the show, then.

Very Happy

P.s: By the way, I hope that the Duergar are the ones that killed Pawl and that something awful happens to those damn idiots! They killed Pawl, for crying out loud! Maybe they are allergic to salt or something…

What's funny is when NeN started our episodes were this long in the beginning as well! Very Happy

LOL, well as you can guess this isn't the last we see of Dean the Dragon. And there's a reason he's following the heroes to keep an eye on them. I mean clearly he's seen heroes come and go - but SOMETHING captured Dean's interest to follow these two nut balls.

Notice Adam pronounced "Duergar" wrong? You see, I (and apparently Adam) have always pronounced it "Drugar" ... so we stuck with that pronunciation in the episode as well.

Well like I said up there. There's a reason Dean decides to keep an eye on these would be heroes. And doing so in human form would be a lot less suspicious than a huge Silver Dragon following them.

Now to wonder why Dean has decided to follow these two in particular...

Just hang on. It's not the last we have seen of those wretched Duergar...

And I think you will like what happens!

(After all, just about everything in these episodes is in there for one reason or another...)

Sorry, Tawmis! But don’t worry I am still here and I am still looking forward for more magical adventures from our dashing heroes that don’t know the meaning of the word “danger” (they should really buy a dictionary, by the way).

Wink

Well, can you blame us if we have become addicted to the misadventures of the amazing duo?

My guess is either Peter´s exotic perfume or the magical sword.

I am betting on Peter´s exotic perfume. Dean must want to know what perfume Peter uses.

Well, since I am Portuguese I had never heard the word Duergar spoken in English (or whatever language Adam speaks), and I usually refer them as Grey Dwarves. So I hadn’t notice, Tawmis.

Maybe Dean just wants to make more appearances during the series. That damn clever reptile!

That’s why he is following the heroes! He is planning to kill them, so that he can become the protagonist of NeN.

Ah! Your evil plan has been uncovered, Dean! I knew that no one, not even a Dragon, could be that altruistic!

I bet that the map will lead our heroes to dangerous perils and lethal enemies… and then Dean will make his move and steal Peter´s salt!!!!

But who can save our dashing, yet unwashed, heroes?

Pawl, that’s who!

Although I love Dwarves, I can’t stand evil Dwarves that decided to kill a fellow Dwarf, particularly if that fellow Dwarf was none other than Pawl.

Can’t wait to see what will happen to them, mate.

Sidekick and Peter?

Kick Peter in the side?

Neverending Nights.
The only adventure with two sidekicks.

Now that Adam is back from his trip - he's back to doing the filming. Very Happy

PM him and fill his inbox!

I am ready to edit whenever I have the footage!

Of course he has to get CEPV2 on the module since there's some things we're using from there.
