First Translation of Qur'an in Slovenian
Ljubljana, Dec. 8
The first ever integral translation of the Qur'an into Slovenian has recently been published by the Atila knjiga publisher. The Islamic holy book was translated by Klemen Jelinčič, who has studied at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and whom it took six months to do the job. Two other translations of Qur'an are also expected. One is by a Slovenian-Yemeni couple named Alhady, whose version is to include extensive footnotes and explanations and be finished in 2005. The other one will be translated from English and is to come out in February 2004.
