Ryushoji Temple

These are the remains of Ryushoji Temple of the Soto Sect where people prayed for more prosperity.
This temple was once a small temple located on the Yamabuki Castle premises. Then it was moved here and made quite bigger.

These are the stone stairs of 100 steps that I like. There is nothing on the top of the stairs today. There used to be the main gate here, which was moved to my temple (Saihonji Temple) around 1955.

There are several graves of magistrates, one here and another one there. A grave of the Warring State Period has also been found.

There is an expression "100 temples of Ginzan". But in reality, 136 names of temples have been confirmed, 86 of which traced. Today there are 11 temples in the area, 7 of which have priests.
