• lernte bei Ralf Moufang, Ottmar Köhler, Milian Galí Rivery, Félix Navarro, Francisco Hernández Mora (Pancho Quinto), Angel Bolaños Corrales, Javier Piña Márquez, Daniel Carbonell Constantin, Andreas Molino und Cristobal Larrinaga; auch autodidaktisches Studium
• beherrscht nahezu das gesamte Repertoire auf allen drei Trommeln (Okónkolo, Itótele und Iyá) im Havanna-Stil.
• Im Juli 2005 als Omoañá eingeweiht auf den Tambor "Aña Ara Lovo Ore" (Adofó, 1896) in Regla /La Habana, Zeremonialerfahrung an der Okónkolo
• ehem. musikalischer Direktor der Gruppe Ayé Ilú (1994-2005)
• Autor des Standardwerks Cantos Lucumí a los Orichas (oché books, 1998)
