Bill Norris

As The Dot Connector, Bill is helping to grow FableVision's efforts to reach ALL learners. By using media, storytelling and technology, he and all the FableVisionaries will make a difference for those who continue on the path of life-long learning.

Bill knows first hand the challenges facing both students and educators. He spent 22 years as an elementary and middle school teacher, Title I Director, and central office administrator in the Boston area. He has a degree in elementary education from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst - two advanced degrees from Lesley University in curriculum design and administration, and a certificate in organizational development from Bentley College.

While Senior Project Director at MCET/Mass Interaction and the JASON Foundation for Education, Bill was FableVision's "guardian angel" who helped us bring to life the award-winning BrainCogs software (www.braincogs.com) - learning strategies for struggling and mainstream learners. His team at the JASON Foundation also secured three million dollars in federal Star Schools funds to enhance the creation of integrated science and literacy programs for underserved middle school students.

Under his leadership, Mass Interaction won an Emmy for its collaborative programming efforts with the Boston Museum of Science. His team also won numerous distance learning awards including: Best Distance Learning Network for 1999 and Best Public Service Program for Youth: Memories, Voices, and Choices: Lessons Learned from the Holocaust and Global Genocides, shared with well over two million students and educators, nationwide.

One of his passions is working educational conferences and engaging educators in conversation about how kids learn. "It's great working at FableVision: wonderful people, wonderful stories, and wonderful products that make a difference in the way learners think about how they learn."

Bill loves to ski, read, dabble in photography, and hang out at the beach house in Adam's Shore.
