Dawn Haley
How I came to find FableVision:
Like asking someone out on a date, my industry pals persuaded
me to check it out because they assured me I'd fit right in both
professionally and personally.
Dawn's tag line (in 4 easy words):
I make things go.
What I bring to the Party:
Film and Video Production Manager experience, penchant for 1950's kitchens and any era sci-fi,and plenty of toys.
What Have I Been Doing for the Past 10 Years at FableVision:
Studio Manager (Air Traffic Control); Project Manager for web, video, print, educational products, and books (Master of Time and Space); Mission Specialist, which covers everything from FableHistorian, to tradeshows, marketing, educational products and creative studio sales; Master Tea Maker.
What Have I Learned From My FableFamily:
Working with this super-sweet team of artists, designers, programmers and educators, I've learned that we can all make a difference. Keep up with technology, but don't put down your book. Tell stories, keep a journal or a blog. Get excited about creativity and pass it on... Read 'The North Star', 'The Dot', 'Ish', and 'So Few Of Me', so you can learn to chart your own path, try something new, draw outside the lines, and don't let the mass of details dictate your spirit and happiness (um... work in progress).
You say tomato...: I'm originally
imported from New Jersey where I learned the proper way to pronounce
"Dawn". Refer to pronunciation chart - use whichever
is applicable:
From NJ - "Dowahn"
From MA - "Don"
From Webster's dictionary - 'dôn, 'dän: to begin to
appear or develop... to be perceived or understood.
The FableVision Team & the 200 Year Mission: Working
with such inspired and devoted talent to put together super quality
work is so indescribable that you have to work with us to find
out. If you don't believe me, call me - I'll tell you all about it.
