Tom Hatten

A veteran actor, singer, writer, composer, producer and even cartoonist, Tom Hatten seems ideally suited as Entertainment Editor for KNX 1070 NEWSRADIO. His varied background gives his weekday reports an unusual and interesting perspective.

Hatten is best known to Southern California TV viewers as the 9-year host of KTLA Channel 5's "Family Film Festival." Prior to that he was the host of the popular "Popeye and His Friends" cartoon series for 16 years. And speaking of cartoons, Hatten has been widely acclaimed for his quick and humorous on-air sketches.

The North Dakota native was graduated cum Laude from the famed Pasadena Playhouse in 1950. He has performed in several TV shows, motion pictures and even on Broadway as President Franklin D. Roosevelt in the highly successful production of ANNIE. He also briefly toured nationally with the show.
