CAST

"Legacy"

(Independent, 2000)

As every year, Cast gives a new study disk, confirming to be the most fruitful band in the present time. And, as always, generous in the extension of the material presented in each edition.

In this opportunity the album the classic style of the band continues, expressed in great form in the last disks, although in this there is a very interesting work in the vocal arrangements that grant an even more delicate texture to those of for yes beautiful melodies created mostly by Vidales (although in this album the sensitive Francisco Hernández composes in several themes). This is evidenced mainly in the theme "Celestial Garden" that remits directly to the classic influences of the band. A beautiful organ arrangement grants a religious climate to the topic, one of the best of the disk. On the other hand, the extensive "Legacy's Executor" or mainly "Conclusion" -a I magnify disk closing with the classic sound of "Beyond Reality" Cast - they offer other transcendent moments of "Legacy". In this last theme Antonio Bringas's percussion confirms its accustomed dynamism. Francisco Hernández gives his grateful guitar arrangements, Rodolfo Gonzalez a dynamic and solid bass, Dino Brassea his lyricism in voice and flute, and Alfonso Vidales's speedy hands one of the most memorable instants in the trajectory of the band.

Without doubts the disk won't surprise the old followers of the group, but yes it will confirm the good moment and level reached so much by Cast who are surely in the best passage in its career, by its constants tours for Europe and United States like for the wealth that offers its production discographic at the moment.
