Officially opened June 2000, by H.R.H. Prince Charles,

Colonel-in-Chief of The Parachute Regiment
Patron of the Airborne Assault Normandy Trust .
The museum is a fitting tribute to the British Airborne who fought in Normandy.
Located 200 meters from Pegasus Bridge, between the  Caen canal and the river Orne.
It houses many artefacts and displays of the Airborne's role on D-Day and the Battle of Normandy.
Situated in the grounds of the museum is the original Pegasus Bridge.

The original Pegasus Bridge is in pride of place within the grounds of the museum.
Inside the museum there are many displays, as can be seen in the picture to the right.

A visit to the British Airborne Museum at Benouville is a MUST! When on the D-Day trail.
