Explanation | These are the magic spells that change the energy that is drawn in by the incantation into fire or high-level energy. Some of the spells can't affect Mazoku, because all of the spell energy is changed into physical power. Magicians use these spells to heat things or set fire to things. Rather handy, as most of the spells in this group have excellent offensive power. |

This legendary spell is said to be only able to be cast by the legendary sorcerer, Lei Magnus. With this spell, the caster creates about a dozen balls of fire and throws them all at the same time. Each ball is several times more powerful than a Fire Ball. This spell is like Burst Flare, but much more powerful, and even Lina can only cast it when she boosts her magical power. As this spell creates extremely hot fire, the color of the earth at ground zero is scorched. |

This spell is generally known as the most powerful magic spell in the Fire group. Basically, it's a highly strengthened version of Fire Ball, so hot that it creates a pale blue flame. With this spell, the caster can melt a golem, and it will burn a human to ash completely, not even leaving bones. |

With this spell, the caster can shoot many balls of fire, each of which causes a harmless explosion. It isn't powerful, so when a man is hit by this spell, he only receives a light burn. However, it is very loud and very bright, so Lina often uses it when she wants to bluff somebody. |

With this spell, the caster creates a ball of fire between his two hands and throws it at the enemy. The power of the Fire Ball depends on the magical energy channeled into the spell. For example, when a skilled magic user casts a Fire Ball with as much power as he possibly can, the resulting ball of fire can easily liquify iron. Lina often uses this spell to attack bandits. Since it is an area-affect spell, the user must be careful not to start fires, especially indoors or in the woods. This is one of the most well-known magic spells. It's so popular that people can generally estimate the level of the magic user by how he or she controls a Fire Ball. |

The caster literally creates several arrows of fire with this spell. A skilled caster can make as many as ten at one time... Lina, channeling boosted energy, can make several dozen at once. While these arrows burst into flame on impact, the explosion isn't very powerful. Generally, Flare Arrow is used to drive small fry, to set something on fire, or as an intimidation tactic. Note that, in the anime, generally only one arrow is shown. This is an elementary spell, both easy for beginners and good for an emergency, as its incantation is quite short. |
