Borden Ladner Gervais LLP Client Counselling Competition
The annual Borden Ladner Gervais LLP Client Counselling Competition was held at the law school with on Monday, November 26.
From the initial rounds, the following teams were selected as finalists: Emily Hassin and Linsey Rains, Maciek Piekosz and Michael Beeforth, Ryan McKeen and Raj Kehar, Morgan Borins and Nathalie Freiman, and Omar Ha-Redeye and Amelia Phillips-Levis.
After a very close final round, with the final client played by Katherine Ayre, Omar Ha-Redeye and Amelia Phillips-Levis emerged as the winners of this year’s competition. They will go on as Western’s entry in the regional rounds of the ABA Client Counselling Competition held in February, 2008.
Western Law is very appreciative of the support of Borden Ladner Gervais for this competition. We are especially grateful for the time, energy and charisma of Halla Elias, Rick Morelli, Kammy Digambar, Robin Squires, Farah Ismail, Oneal Banerjee, Margot Finley, Doug Smith and Melanie De Wit from BLG who came from Toronto to spend the day with our students competing in this competition.
