Solitude —Time alone with God (Mark 1:35)
Solitude is a way to remove the “scaffolding” that surrounds our soul and see what is there behind the clutter of our activities. Solitude is a discipline of “going away from”; the emphasis is on what we don’t do there, not what we do. It is a very useful practice to help us overcome approval of others, busyness and constantly needing stimulation. It provides a deeper sense of connection with God.
