God makes us one in Christ. We maintain unity by accepting whom
He saves. By rejecting brothers, we alienate ourselves from the
Father.
God unites the saved ones. Our part is to accept each other.
We fail God miserably by judging and rejecting.
Disciples have devised many reasons for rejecting others in Christ.
Cecil Hook continues to re-examine our reasons for dividing.
They are not from God!
This is not an appeal for churches to unite. It repeats God's
appeal for individuals to accept those across the sectarian walls
we have built and maintained. Sectarianism is a personal attitude
of rejection rather than holding different convictions of meeting
separately.
Our walls of separation are crumbling! Disciples are happy to
learn of their freedom to accept others as God accepts them.
