    Crossroads of Chaos Rulings

    Hello Judges.

For those of you helping out at the Crossroads of Chaos Sneak Preview this weekend, here's a synopsis of rules you might need. These rulings will also be posted in the Files section of the forum, and will go up on the official FAQ shortly.

For those not helping out, you should attend! You can find details at the Sneak Preview site.

Attendees will receive a copy of “Rose, Warrior of Revenge”, a Level 4 Tuner making its world debut at this Sneak Preview (while supplies last). Participants in the Sneak Preview are allowed to use this promo in their Sealed Decks.

    Have fun at the Sneak!

The contents of this document are structured as follows:

    Card Name

    Card Number (Card Type)

    [Card Text]

    Healing Wave Generator

    CSOC-EN001 (Machine / Effect)

[Once per turn, you can select another face-up monster you control to gain Life Points equal to that monster's Level x 100.]

"Healing Wave Generator's" effect targets 1 other monster you control.

If an effect is chained that removes the targeted monster from the field or flips it face-down, "Healing Wave Generator's" effect disappears.

If an effect is chained that shifts control of the targeted monster to your opponent, you will still gain Life Points.

    Turbo Synchron

    CSOC-EN002 (Machine / Tuner)

[When this card declares an attack, you can change the attack target to Defense Position. When you take Battle Damage while this card is attacking, you can Special Summon 1 monster from your hand with ATK equal to or less than the Battle Damage you took.]

"Turbo Synchron's" effects do not target.

If "Turbo Synchron" attacks your opponent's monster while they have "Fairy Box" active, the effects of "Turbo Synchron" and "Fairy Box" form a Chain.

If "Turbo Synchron" attacks an Attack Position "Berserk Gorilla" and activates its effect, "Berserk Gorilla" is destroyed when it is changed to Defense Position, and a replay occurs. If "Turbo Synchron" selects another monster to attack, it cannot activate its effect again because it is not "declaring an attack".

    Wall of Ivy

    CSOC-EN004 (Plant / Effect)

[FLIP: Special Summon 1 "Ivy Token" (Plant-Type/EARTH/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0) to your opponent's side of the field. When this Token is destroyed, its controller takes 300 damage.]

“Ivy Token’s” effect to inflict damage does not start a Chain.

If the "Ivy Token" is destroyed by a card effect, inflict damage after the effect resolves. If the "Ivy Token" is destroyed by battle, inflict damage at the end of the Damage Step, when monsters destroyed by battle are sent to the Graveyard.

If "Remove Brainwashing" or "Owner's Seal" is activated, control of the "Ivy Token" is shifted to the player that activated "Wall of Ivy's" effect.

    Copy Plant

    CSOC-EN005 (Plant / Tuner)

[Once per turn, you can select 1 face-up Plant-Type monster on the field to have this card's Level become equal to the selected monster's Level, until the End Phase.]

"Copy Plant's" effect targets 1 face-up Plant-Type monster on the field.

"Copy Plant's" effect copies the current Level of the targeted monster when "Copy Plant's" effect resolves. If the targeted monster's Level changes after "Copy Plant's" effect has resolved, "Copy Plant" keeps the level it copied when its effect resolved.

If "Copy Plant" is equipped with "Demotion", when "Copy Plant" uses its effect to copy the Level of a Plant-Type monster, the copied value is reduced by 2 for "Demotion".

"Copy Plant's" effect can target a Plant-Type monster of equal Level, and it can target another "Copy Plant".

    Morphtronic Celfon

    CSOC-EN006 (Machine / Effect)

[●While in Attack Position: Once per turn, you can roll a six-sided die. Reveal cards from top of your Deck equal to the roll and Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "Morphtronic" monster from among them, ignoring the Summoning conditions. Shuffle the rest into the Deck.

●While in Defense Position: Once per turn, you can roll a six-sided die. Look at cards from top of your Deck equal to the roll, then return them in the same order.]

"Royal Oppression" can be chained to the Attack Position effect of "Morphtronic Celfon".

If an effect is chained that removes "Morphtronic Celfon" from the field, its Attack or Defense Position effect that was activated will still resolve.

The Attack Position effect of "Morphtronic Celfon" cannot be activated if there are no "Morphtronic" monsters left in your Deck.

While "Skill Drain" is active, the Attack Position and Defense Position effects of "Morphtronic Celfon" cannot be activated, because the "While in Attack Position" and "While in Defense Position" effects are negated.

If you cannot Special Summon a monster (due to "Scapegoat", etc.), you cannot activate "Morphtronic Celfon's" Attack Position effect. If you activate "Morphtronic Celfon's" Attack Position effect and an effect is chained that prevents you from Special Summoning monster(s), you will still roll a die and reveal cards from the top of your Deck equal to the result, but the Level 4 or lower "Morphtronic" monster that would be Special Summoned is destroyed instead.

You cannot activate "Morphtronic Celfon's" Attack Position effect if you have no cards left in your Deck. If you have at least 1 card left in your Deck, you can activate the Attack Position effect. In this case, if you roll a 2 or higher, you will still reveal the 1 card left in your Deck.

You do not show your opponent the cards you look at with “Morphtronic Celfon’s” Defense Position effect.

    Morphtronic Magnen

    CSOC-EN007 (Thunder / Effect)

[●While in Attack Position: If your opponent controls a face-up monster, this card can only select their highest ATK monster as an attack target.

●While in Defense Position: Your opponent cannot select another monster as an attack target.]

If you control an Attack Position "Morphtronic Magnen" and another monster, when your opponent attacks the other monster and and effect is activated that changes "Morphtronic Magnen" into Defense Position, the other monster is still attacked because it has already been selected as an attack target.

While "Skill Drain" is active, the Attack Position and Defense Position effects of "Morphtronic Magnen" cannot be activated, because the "While in Attack Position" and "While in Defense Position" effects are negated.

If your opponent controls "Command Knight" and another monster with less ATK, your "Morphtronic Magnen" cannot attack because it cannot attack the "Command Knight".

If your opponent controls a monster equipped with "Ring of Magnetism" and another monster with higher ATK, your "Morphtronic Magnen" must attack the monster equipped with "Ring of Magnetism" if it attacks.

If you control a "Morphtronic Magnen" equipped with "Shooting Star Bow - Ceal" and your opponent controls a face-up monster, your "Morphtronic Magnen" can only attack your opponent's monster. It cannot attack directly.

If you control 2 or more "Morphtronic Magnens" in Defense Position, your opponent cannot attack, unless they control a monster that can attack directly due to an effect.

    Morphtronic Datatron

    CSOC-EN008 (Pyro / Effect)

[●While in Attack Position: Once per turn, you can Tribute 1 monster to inflict 600 damage to your opponent.

●While in Defense Position: Once per turn, you can inflict 300 damage to your opponent.]

While "Skill Drain" is active, the Attack Position and Defense Position effects of "Morphtronic Datatron" cannot be activated, because the "While in Attack Position" and "While in Defense Position" effects are negated.

"Morphtronic Datatron" can be Tributed to activate its Attack Position effect.

If "Morphtronic Datatron" activates its Attack Position effect, and an effect is chained that changes it to Defense Position, its effect still resolves.

    Morphtronic Boomboxen

    CSOC-EN009 (Machine / Effect)

[●While in Attack Position: This card can attack twice during each Battle Phase.

●While in Defense Position: Once per turn, when a face-up "Morphtronic" monster you control is selected as an attack target, you can negate the attack.]

If "Morphtronic Boomboxen" activates its Attack Position effect, and an effect is chained that changes it to Defense Position, its effect still resolves.

While "Skill Drain" is active, the Attack Position and Defense Position effects of "Morphtronic Boomboxen" cannot be activated, because the "While in Attack Position" and "While in Defense Position" effects are negated.

    Morphtronic Cameran

    CSOC-EN010 (Machine / Effect)

[●While in Attack Position: When this card is destroyed by battle, you can Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "Morphtronic" monster from your hand or Graveyard, except "Morphtronic Cameran".

●While in Defense Position: "Morphtronic" monsters on the field cannot be targeted by effects.]

While "Skill Drain" is active, the Attack Position and Defense Position effects of "Morphtronic Cameran" cannot be activated, because the "While in Attack Position" and "While in Defense Position" effects are negated. If "Morphtronic Cameran" is destroyed by battle while in Attack Position, its effect will not activate because it was destroyed by battle while its "While in Attack Position" effect was being negated.

    Morphtronic Radion

    CSOC-EN011 (Thunder / Effect)

[●While in Attack Position: "Morphtronic" monsters you control gain 800 ATK.

●While in Defense Position: "Morphtronic" monsters you control gain 1000 DEF.]

While "Skill Drain" is active, the Attack Position and Defense Position effects of "Morphtronic Radion" cannot be activated, because the "While in Attack Position" and "While in Defense Position" effects are negated.

    Morphtronic Clocken

    CSOC-EN012 (Machine / Effect)

[●While in Attack Position: This card gains 500 ATK for each Morph Counter on it.

●While in Defense Position: Once per turn, you can place 1 Morph Counter on this card. You can Tribute this card to inflict 1000 damage to your opponent for each Morph Counter on it.]

"Morphtronic Clocken's" Defense Position effect to inflict damage cannot be activated if it does not have any Morph Counters.

While "Skill Drain" is active, the Attack Position and Defense Position effects of "Morphtronic Radion" cannot be activated, because the "While in Attack Position" and "While in Defense Position" effects are negated.

If you activate "Morphtronic Clocken's" effect to gain a Morph Counter and an effect is chained that changes it to Attack Position, it still gains a Morph Counter.

    Gadget Hauler

    CSOC-EN013 (Machine / Effect)

[Once per turn, you can send any number of "Morphtronic" monsters from your hand to the Graveyard to have this card gain 800 ATK for each.]

Sending any number of "Morphtronic" monsters from your hand to the Graveyard is not a cost.

The ATK increase from "Gadget Hauler's" effect lasts until it is removed from the field or flipped face-down.

If "Gadget Hauler's" effect is activated while "Banisher of the Radiance" is face-up on the field, the "Morphtronic" monsters are removed from play instead of being sent to the Graveyard, and “Gadget Hauler’s” ATK does not increase.

    Gadget Driver

    CSOC-EN014 (Machine / Effect)

[You can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard and select any number of face-up "Morphtronic" monsters you control. Change the battle position of the selected monster(s). This effect can be activated during either player's turn.]

Sending "Gadget Driver" from your hand to the Graveyard is a cost.

"Gadget Driver's" effect targets face-up "Morphtronic" monster(s) you control.

"Gadget Driver's" effect cannot be activated during the Damage Step.

    Pursuit Chaser

    CSOC-EN016 (Machine / Effect)

[When a Defense Position monster is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, inflict 500 damage to your opponent.]

If "Pursuit Chaser" is in Defense Position when it is destroyed by battle, its effect does not activate.

    Iron Chain Repairman

    CSOC-EN017 (Warrior / Effect)

[When this card destroys a monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard, inflict 300 damage to your opponent. Once per turn, you can Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "Iron Chain" monster from your Graveyard, except "Iron Chain Repairman". This card cannot attack the turn you activate this effect.]

"Iron Chain Repairman's" second effect targets 1 Level 4 or lower "Iron Chain" monster in your Graveyard.

If "Iron Chain Repairman" attacks and its attack is negated, it cannot activate its second effect in Main Phase 2.

    Iron Chain Snake

    CSOC-EN018 (Reptile / Effect)

[During your Main Phase, you can equip this card to 1 face-up monster your opponent controls. That monster loses 800 ATK and DEF. When it is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, its controller sends cards equal to its Level from the top of their Deck to the Graveyard.]

"Iron Chain Snake's" first effect targets 1 face-up monster your opponent controls.

The player that controlled the equipped monster when it was destroyed sends cards from the top of their Deck to the Graveyard.

If "Iron Chain Snake" is equipped to a monster with another card's effect, the equipped monster does not lose ATK and DEF. However, when the equipped monster is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, the effect of "Iron Chain Snake" activates.

When the equipped monster is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, if its controller has fewer cards in their Deck than the Level of the destroyed monster, every card left in their Deck is sent to the Graveyard.

    Iron Chain Blaster

    CSOC-EN019 (Warrior / Effect)

[Once per turn, you can send 1 "Iron Chain" monster you control to the Graveyard to inflict 800 damage to your opponent.]

Sending 1 "Iron Chain" monster you control to the Graveyard is a cost. You can only send a face-up "Iron Chain" monster.

"Iron Chain Blaster" can send itself to the Graveyard to activate its effect.

    Iron Chain Coil

    CSOC-EN020 (Machine / Tuner)

[Once per turn, you can select 1 "Iron Chain" monster you control to have it gain 300 ATK and DEF as long as this card is face-up on the field.]

"Iron Chain Coil's" effect targets 1 face-up "Iron Chain" monster you control.

    Power Injector

    CSOC-EN021 (Psychic / Effect)

[Once per turn you can pay 600 Life Points to have all face-up Psychic-Type monsters gain 500 ATK during this turn.]

Paying 600 Life Points is a cost.

Only Psychic-Type monsters face-up on the field when "Power Injector's" effect resolves are affected.

    Storm Caller

    CSOC-EN022 (Psychic / Effect)

[You can put your opponent's monsters that are destroyed by battle with other Psychic-Type monsters on top of their owner's Deck instead of sending them to the Graveyard. When this card is destroyed by a card effect, this card's controller takes Damage equal to its original ATK.]

"Storm Caller's" second effect only activates when it is destroyed while on the field. If it is destroyed while face-down, its second effect activates.

If a Psychic-Type monster destroys your opponent's "Dark Magician of Chaos" by battle, you cannot return it to the top of your opponent's Deck.

If a Psychic-Type monster destroys your opponent's monster by battle while "Macro Cosmos" or "Dimensional Fissure" is active, you can return the destroyed monster to the top of your opponent's Deck. If you do not, the monster is removed from play.

If a Psychic-Type monsters destroys your opponent's "Crystal Beast" monster, you can return it to the top of your opponent's Deck. If you do not, the "Crystal Beast" monster can be placed into its controller's Spell and Trap Card Zone.

If a Psychic-Type monster destroys your monster that is controlled by your opponent, you cannot place it on top of your Deck.

You decide if you place your opponent's destroyed monster on top of their Deck at the end of the Damage Step, when monsters destroyed by battle are sent to the Graveyard.

If a Psychic-Type monster destroys your opponent's "Apprentice Magician" by battle, if you return it to the top of your opponent's Deck its effect does not activate.

    Nettles

    CSOC-EN024 (Plant / Tuner)

[If this face-up card would be destroyed, you can destroy 1 face-up Plant-Type monster you control instead.]

    "Nettles'" effect does not target.

If "Nettles" is attacked while face-down, its effect cannot be applied when it is destroyed by battle.

If "Nettles" is attacked by "Drillroid" while in face-down Defense Position, "Nettle's" effect cannot be applied.

    Gigantic Cephalotus

    CSOC-EN025 (Plant / Effect)

[This card gains 200 ATK each time a Plant-Type monster is sent to the Graveyard.]

If "Skill Drain" is active, "Gigantic Cephalotus" loses any ATK gained by its effect. The ATK is not regained when "Skill Drain" is negated or removed from the field.

The destroyed Plant-Type monster must be a Plant-Type monster both on the field and in the Graveyard, or "Gigantic Cephalotus'" effect is not applied.

    Horseytail

    CSOC-EN026 (Plant / Effect)

[When this card is destroyed by battle and sent the Graveyard, Special Summon 1 "Horsetail Token" (Plant-Type/WIND/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0) to your opponent's side of the field in Defense Position. When this Token is destroyed by battle with a Plant-Type monster, its controller sends 1 card from their hand to the Graveyard.]

If "Horseytail" is declared with "Prohibition" after the "Horsetail Token" is Special Summoned, the discard effect is applied when "Horseytail Token" is destroyed.

If a "Horseytail Token" is Special Summoned onto your side of the field by the effect of your opponent's "Horseytail", when it is destroyed by battle with a Plant-Type monster and you send a card from your hand to the Graveyard, if you send "Elephant Statue of Disaster" to the Graveyard, its effect does not activate.

Sending 1 card from your hand to the Graveyard when "Horseytail Token" is destroyed by battle with a Plant-Type monster does not start a Chain.

If "Remove Brainwashing" or "Owner's Seal" is activated, control of the "Horseytail Token" is shifted to the player that activated the effect of "Horseytail".

    Cursed Fig

    CSOC-EN028 (Plant / Effect)

[When this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, select 2 Set Spell or Trap Cards on the field. While this card is in the Graveyard, the selected cards cannot be activated.]

"Cursed Fig's" effect targets 2 Set Spell or Trap Cards.

If "The End of Anubis" is Summoned after "Cursed Fig's" effect has resolved, "Cursed Fig's" effect is still applied.

If one of the Set Spell or Trap Cards is chained, "Cursed Fig's" effect is still applied to the remaining Set Spell or Trap Card.

If a Set Spell or Trap Card is affected by the effect of a "Cursed Fig", it can be selected as a target by the effect of another "Cursed Fig".

    Tytannial, Princess of Camellias

    CSOC-EN029 (Plant / Effect)

[You can Tribute 1 face-up Plant-Type monster you control to negate the activation of a Spell, Trap, or Effect Monster's effect that targets a card(s) on the field and destroy it.]

Tributing 1 face-up Plant-Type monster you control is a cost to activate "Tytannial, Princess of Camellias'" Quick Effect. This effect can be activated in the Damage Step.

"Tytannial, Princess of Camellias" can be Tributed to activate its own effect.

"Tytannial, Princess of Camellias's" effect can be chained when the effect of a Continuous Spell or Trap Card is activated.

During the Damage Step, "Tytannial, Princess of Camellias" can Tribute a Plant-Type monster that is attacking or being attacked to activate its effect. If the Plant-Type monster that is attacking or being attacked is Tributed before damage calculation, damage calculation does not occur.

    Zombie Mammoth

    CSOC-EN030 (Zombie / Effect)

[Destroy this card if you do not have a Zombie-Type monster in your Graveyard. When this face-up card is destroyed, inflict damage to its controller equal to its original ATK.]

If "Zombie Mammoth" is attacked while face-down and its controller does not have any Zombie-Type monsters in their Graveyard, "Zombie Mammoth" is destroyed by its effect after damage calculation. If it is destroyed by the battle, its effect is not applied.

    Plaguespreader Zombie

    CSOC-EN031 (Zombie / Tuner)

[You can return 1 card from your hand to the top of the Deck to Special Summon this card from the Graveyard. If you do, remove this card from play when it is removed from the field.]

Returning 1 card from your hand to the top of your Deck is a cost.

Removing "Plaguespreader Zombie" from play with its effect does not start a Chain.

If you Special Summon "Plaguespreader Zombie" from the Graveyard with its effect, and afterwards it is removed from play with "Interdimensional Matter Transporter", it is not returned to the field during the End Phase and remains removed from play.

If "Plaguespreader Zombie" is Special Summoned from the Graveyard by its effect and is later removed from the field while "Skill Drain" is active, it is removed from play.

If "Plaguespreader Zombie" is flipped face-down after being Special Summoned from the Graveyard by its effect, when it is removed from the field it is not removed from play.

    Comrade Swordsman of Landstar

    CSOC-EN033 (Warrior / Tuner)

[All Warrior-Type monsters you control gain 400 ATK.]

If a Warrior-Type monster is targeted by "Shrink" while its ATK is being increased with "Comrade Swordsman of Landstar's" effect, first the original ATK of the Warrior-Type monster is halved, then the 400 ATK gain is reapplied.

If "The Wicked Dreadroot" is face-up on the field and you control "Comrade Swordsman of Landstar", first all Warrior-Type monsters you control gain 400 ATK, then the ATK of each Warrior-Type monster is halved.

The effects of multiple "Comrade Swordsman of Landstar" are cumulative.

    Hanewata

    CSOC-EN034 (Fairy / Tuner)

[You can discard this card to make any effect damage you take this turn 0. This effect can be activated during either player's turn.]

    Discarding "Hanewata" is a cost.

"Hanewata's" effect cannot be activated in the Damage Step.

    The White Stone of Legend

    CSOC-EN035 (Dragon / Tuner)

[When this card is sent to the Graveyard, add 1 "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" from your Deck to your hand.]

When resolving the effect of "The White Stone of Legend", if you have no copies of "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" left in your Deck your opponent can briefly check your Deck to verify, unless every copy of "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" can be accounted for in the Graveyard, Removed Zone, and on the field. (example: If all 3 "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" are in the Graveyard, your opponent does not check your Deck) If a copy is in your hand, your opponent checks your Deck to verify (you cannot reveal a "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" in your hand).

    Tiger Dragon

    CSOC-EN036 (Dragon / Effect)

[If this card is Tribute Summoned by Tributing a Dragon-Type monster, you can destroy up to 2 face-down Spell and Trap Cards your opponent controls.]

"Tiger Dragon's" effect targets the Set Spell or Trap Card(s).

If one of the targets is chained, it cannot be destroyed because it is no longer face-down. If 2 face-down Spell or Trap Cards are targeted and only 1 is chained, the remaining face-down Spell or Trap Card is still destroyed.

    Jade Knight

    CSOC-EN037 (Machine / Effect)

[Face-up Machine-Type monsters you control with 1200 or less ATK cannot be destroyed by the effects of Trap Cards. When this face-up card is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, you can add 1 Level 4 LIGHT Machine-Type monster from your Deck to your hand.]

If "Jade Knight" is attacked while face-down, its effect does not activate when it is destroyed by battle.

    Turbo Warrior

    CSOC-EN038 (Warrior / Synchro / Effect)

["Turbo Synchron" + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters

When this card attacks a Level 6 or higher Synchro Monster, halve that monster's ATK until the end of the Damage Step. This card cannot be targeted by the effects of Level 6 or lower monsters.]

"Turbo Warrior's" first effect activates when the attack is declared. If it attacks a face-down Synchro Monster, "Turbo Warrior's" effect does not activate.

"Turbo Warrior's" effects do not target.

If "Turbo Warrior" attacks a Level 6 or higher Synchro Monster and an effect is chained that changes the attack target to a different monster, the new attack target monster has its ATK halved instead.

    Black Rose Dragon

    CSOC-EN039 (Dragon / Synchro / Effect)

    [1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters

When this card is Synchro Summoned, you can destroy all cards on the field. Once per turn, you can remove from play 1 Plant-Type monster from your Graveyard to change 1 monster your opponent controls to face-up Attack Position, and reduce its ATK to 0 until the End Phase.]

Removing 1 Plant-Type monster in your Graveyard from play is a cost.

"Black Rose Dragon's" second effect targets 1 monster your opponent controls.

If the monster targeted by "Black Rose Dragon's" second effect is not changed to Attack Position by "Black Rose Dragon's" effect, its ATK is not reduced to 0.

If you target a face-down Defense Position monster, its Flip Effect will activate after "Black Rose Dragon's" effect resolves.

After a monster's ATK is reduced to 0 by "Black Rose Dragon's" second effect, if another effect increases its ATK it will be applied to the 0 ATK.

If "Black Rose Dragon" activates its first effect, it is also destroyed.

    Iron Chain Dragon

    CSOC-EN040 (Dragon / Synchro / Effect)

    [1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters

You can remove from play all "Iron Chain" monsters from your Graveyard to have this card gain 200 ATK for each card removed, until the End Phase. When this card inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent, send the top 3 cards of your opponent's Deck to the Graveyard.]

Removing from play all "Iron Chain" monsters in your Graveyard is not a cost.

    Psychic Lifetrancer

    CSOC-EN041 (Psychic / Synchro / Effect)

    [1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters

Once per turn, you can remove from play 1 Psychic-Type monster from your Graveyard to gain 1200 Life Points.]

Removing 1 Psychic-Type monster in your Graveyard from play is a cost.

    Queen of Thorns

    CSOC-EN042 (Plant / Synchro / Effect)

    [1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner Plant-Type monsters

Each player must pay 1000 Life Points to Normal or Special Summon a non-Plant-Type monster from their hand.]

"Queen of Thorn's" effect is a Continuous Effect.

If you Tribute a face-up “Queen of Thorns” to Tribute Summon a monster, you must pay 1000 Life Points.

If you Normal Summon a monster from your hand, or Special Summon a monster with an "inherent" Special Summon effect ("Cyber Dragon", etc.), first you pay 1000 Life Points and then Normal Summon/Special Summon the monster. If you Special Summon a monster from your hand by using a card effect ("Green Baboon, Defender of the Forest", etc.), you pay 1000 Life Points when the effect resolves.

If you Special Summon "Grinder Golem", you only pay 1000 Life Points, because the "Grinder Tokens" are not Special Summoned from your hand.

If there are 2 face-up "Queen of Thorns", players must pay 2000 Life Points to Normal or Special Summon a non-Plant-Type monster from their hand.

If "Celestial Transformation", etc., is activated by a player with less than 1000 Life Points and an effect is chained that Special Summons "Queen of Thorns", "Celestial Transformation's" effect disappears because the player does not have enough Life Points to pay for the Special Summon.

    Doomkaiser Dragon

    CSOC-EN043 (Zombie / Synchro / Effect)

    ["Plaguespreader Zombie" + 1 or more non-Tuner Zombie-Type monsters

When this card is Special Summoned, you can select 1 Zombie-Type monster in your opponent's Graveyard and Special Summon it to your side of the field in Attack Position. Destroy it when this card is removed from the field.]

"Doomkaiser Dragon's" effect targets 1 Zombie-Type monster, both in your opponent's Graveyard and while it is on the field.

Destroying the Special Summoned Zombie-Type monster when "Doomkaiser Dragon" is removed from the field does not start a Chain.

If an effect is chained that flips "Doomkaiser Dragon" face-down, the targeted Zombie-Type monster is still Special Summoned and it is no longer targeted by "Doomkaiser Dragon" while on the field.

    Revived King Ha Des

    CSOC-EN044 (Zombie / Synchro / Effect)

    ["Plaguespreader Zombie" + 1 or more non-Tuner Zombie-Type monsters

Negate the effects of Effect Monsters destroyed by battle with Zombie-Type monsters you control.]

If "Revived King Ha Des" or another Zombie-Type monster you control destroys "Sangan", "Cockroach Knight", "Peten the Dark Clown", "Mezuki", or "Vennominaga the Deity of Poisonous Snakes" by battle, when their effects are activated they will be negated.

If "Zoma the Spirit" is destroyed by battle with a Zombie-Type monster you control, its effect that inflicts damage is negated.

If a Zombie-Type monster you control destroys a Flip Effect monster by battle, the Flip Effect monster's Flip Effect is negated.

If a Zombie-Type monster you control destroys "Treeborn Frog" or "Sinister Serpent", the effect of "Treeborn Frog" or "Sinister Serpent" is negated even if "Revived King Ha Des" is later removed from the field.

    Card Rotator

    CSOC-EN045 (Normal Spell)

[Send 1 card from your hand to the Graveyard. Change the battle positions of all monsters your opponent controls. (Face-down Defense Position monsters are flipped to face-up Attack Position.)]

Sending 1 card from your hand to the Graveyard is a cost.

The Flip Effects of Flip Effect Monsters that are flipped face-up by "Card Rotator" will activate after "Card Rotator" resolves.

    Mark of the Rose

    CSOC-EN047 (Equip Spell Card)

[Remove from play 1 Plant-Type monster from your Graveyard and equip this card to a monster your opponent controls. Gain control of the equipped monster. During your End Phase, give control of the equipped monster to your opponent. During your Standby Phase, gain control of the equipped monster.]

Removing 1 Plant-Type monster in your Graveyard from play is a cost.

If you use "Tailor of the Fickle" to equip "Mark of the Rose" to another monster your opponent controls during their turn, you will take control of that monster after "Tailor of the Fickle" resolves.

The effects of "Mark of the Rose" that activate during your Standby Phase and End Phase start a Chain.

    Black Garden

    CSOC-EN048 (Field Spell Card)

[When a monster is Normal or Special Summoned, except by the effect of  "Black Garden", halve its ATK and Special Summon 1 "Rose Token" (Plant-Type/DARK/Level 2/ATK 800/DEF 800) to its controller's opponent's side of the field, in Attack Position. You can destroy this card and all face-up Plant-Type monsters on the field and Special Summon 1 monster with ATK equal to the total ATK of those monsters from your Graveyard.]

"Black Garden's" first effect is a Trigger Effect.

"Black Garden's" second effect that Special Summons 1 monster from your Graveyard targets.

Destroying "Black Garden" and all face-up Plant-Type monsters is not a cost.

If a monster Normal or Special Summoned while “Black Garden” is active is flipped face-down, its ATK will no longer be halved.

If a monster is Special Summoned face-down, "Black Garden's" first effect still activates. The monster's ATK is not halved, but a "Rose Token" is still Special Summoned.

If "Black Garden's" second effect is activated and an effect is chained that removes it from the field, its effect disappears because it cannot be destroyed, and the face-up Plant-Type monsters on the field are not destroyed.

If "Black Garden's" second effect is activated and an effect is chained that changes the ATK of Plant-Type monster(s) on the field, the targeted monster in the Graveyard is not Special Summoned, but "Black Garden" and all face-up Plant-Type monsters on the field are still destroyed.

The “total ATK” of the destroyed Plant-Type monsters is equal to their combined ATK while on the field.

When a monster is Normal or Special Summoned, any Continuous Effects that increase or decrease the monster's ATK are applied before halving the monster's ATK with "Black Garden's" effect. For example, If "Command Knight" is Normal or Special Summoned, when "Black Garden" halves its ATK it also halves the ATK "Command Knight" gained from its effect. If "Burden of the Mighty" is active, the monster's reduced ATK is halved by "Black Garden".

If "Black Garden" is removed from the field or negated, the ATK of monsters whose ATK was halved remains halved.

If you control "Black Garden", when you activate "Scapegoat" the effect of "Black Garden" will activate after your "Sheep Tokens" are Special Summoned, but its effect will disappear. If instead, your opponent activates "Scapegoat", after they Special Summon their "Sheep Tokens" the effect of "Black Garden" activates, and when it resolves you will Special Summon the Rose Token.

If your opponent Normal or Special Summons a monster while you do not have any open Monster Zones, "Black Garden's" first effect still activates and halves the monster's ATK, but the "Rose Token" is not Special Summoned.

If you have a Gemini Monster on the field and you Normal Summon it to change it into an Effect Monster, "Black Garden's" first effect activates. It will halve the Gemini Monster's ATK and Special Summon a "Rose Token" onto your opponent's side of the field. If the Gemini Monster's ATK had already been halved by "Black Garden" when it was previously Normal or Special Summoned, it is halved again.

If "Vanity's Fiend" is face-up on the field when a monster is Normal Summoned "Black Garden's" first effect still activates. The Normal Summoned monster's ATK is halved, but the "Rose Token" is not Special Summoned.

If "Black Garden" cannot be destroyed (due to "Field Barrier", etc.), its second effect cannot be activated.

If you activate "Black Garden's" second effect and an effect is chained that removes the targeted monster from your Graveyard, "Black Garden" and all face-up Plant-Type monsters on the field are still destroyed, but no monster is Special Summoned from your Graveyard.

When either of “Black Garden’s” effects is activated, "Royal Oppression's" effect can be chained.

If a monster has its ATK halved by "Black Garden", and afterwards its original ATK is halved by "Shrink", the monster's ATK becomes half its original ATK. When the effect of "Shrink" is no longer applied, the monster's ATK returns to its original ATK.

If a monster has its ATK halved by "Black Garden", and afterwards it is equipped with "Megamorph", its ATK will be equal to double its original ATK. If "Megamorph" is later negated or removed from the field, the monster's ATK will return to half its ATK (the same as it was before “Megamorph” was equipped).

If "King of the Skull Servants" is Normal or Special Summoned, first its original ATK is set by its effect. When "Black Garden" halves its ATK, it will halve the original ATK, and even if the number of "King of the Skull Servants" and/or "Skull Servants" in the Graveyard changes afterwards, the ATK of the "King of the Skull Servants" remains at the halved value set by "Black Garden".

If "Tyranno Infinity" is Normal or Special Summoned, first its original ATK is set by its effect. When "Black Garden" halves its ATK, it will halve the original ATK, and even if the number of Dinosaur-Type monsters in its controller's Graveyard changes, the ATK of "Tyranno Infinity" remains at the halved value set by "Black Garden".

If "Black Garden" and "The Wicked Dreadroot" are face-up on the field, when a monster is Normal or Special Summoned its ATK is first halved by "The Wicked Dreadroot", and afterwards its ATK is halved again when "Black Garden's" effect resolves.

If you and your opponent Special Summon monster(s) with the same effect, when "Black Garden's" effect resolves the ATK of each Special Summoned monster is halved, and 1 "Rose Token" is Special Summoned onto both you and your opponent's side of the field. If either player does not have an open Monster Card Zone, their opponent still gets a "Rose Token".

The player that Normal or Special Summoned a monster chooses which of their opponent's Monster Card Zones the "Rose Token" is Special Summoned into. The player that Normal or Special Summoned a monster is considered to be the "owner" of the "Rose Token".

If a monster that is unaffected by the effects of Spell Cards is Normal or Special Summoned, its ATK will not be halved by "Black Garden's" effect, but the "Rose Token" is still Special Summoned.

If a monster that is unaffected by the effects of Spell Cards is also a Plant-Type monster, it is not destroyed when "Black Garden's" second effect resolves, and its ATK is not included in the total ATK of the destroyed Plant-Type monsters.

If "Black Garden's" second effect is activated and "Call of the Haunted" is chained, Special Summoning "Fossil Dyna Pachycephalo", "Black Garden's" effect cannot Special Summon a monster, but it and all face-up Plant-Type monsters on the field are still destroyed.

    Factory of 100 Machines

    CSOC-EN049 (Quick-Play Spell)

[Remove from play all "Morphtronic" monsters from your Graveyard. Target face-up Machine-Type monster you control gains 200 ATK for each card removed, until the End Phase.]

"Factory of 100 Machines" targets 1 Machine-Type monster you control.

Removing all "Morphtronic" monsters in your Graveyard from play is not a cost. If an effect is chained that removes the targeted Machine-Type monster from the field, you must still remove all "Morphtronic" monsters in your Graveyard from play when "Factory of 100 Machines" resolves.

    Morphtronic Accelerator

    CSOC-EN050 (Normal Spell Card)

[Return 1 "Morphtronic" card from your hand to the Deck. Destroy 1 card on the field, and draw 1 card.]

Returning 1 "Morphtronic" monster from your hand to the Deck is not a cost.

"Morphtronic Accelerator" targets 1 card on the field.

When the "Morphtronic" monster is returned from your hand to the Deck, the Deck is shuffled before the targeted card is destroyed and before you draw 1 card.

Destroying the target and drawing 1 card are considered to happen at the same time.

If you do not have any cards remaining in your Deck, you cannot activate "Morphtronic Accelerator".

If you cannot destroy the targeted card, you must still return 1 "Morphtronic" card from your hand to the Deck, but you do not draw 1 card.

If you do not have a “Morphtronic” monster in your hand when "Morphtronic Accelerator" resolves, "Morphtronic Accelerator's" effect disappears.

    Morphtronic Cord

    CSOC-EN051 (Equip Spell Card)

[Equip only to a "Morphtronic" monster. Each time the equipped monster's battle position is changed, destroy 1 Spell or Trap Card on the field.]

"Morphtronic Cord's" effect targets 1 Spell or Trap Card.

"Morphtronic Cord's" effect is mandatory. If it is the only Spell or Trap Card on the field when the equipped "Morphtronic" monster's Battle Position is changed, it must target itself with its effect.

If "Morphtronic Cord" is equipped to a Level 4 or higher "Morphtronic" monster while "Level Limit - Area-B" is active, when the equipped "Morphtronic" monster's Battle Position to changed to Attack Position, it is immediately shifted back into Defense Position. When this occurs, the Trigger Effect of "Morphtronic Cord" only activates once.

    Morphtronic Engine

    CSOC-EN052 (Equip Spell Card)

[Equip only to a Level 3 "Morphtronic" monster. Its ATK becomes double its original ATK. During your second Standby Phase after this card's activation, destroy this card, and take damage equal to the original ATK of the equipped monster.]

The effect of “Morphtronic Engine” makes the equipped monster’s current ATK equal to twice its original ATK. The new ATK value is not considered to be the monster’s original ATK.

If the Level of the equipped "Morphtronic" monster changes to a value other than 3, "Morphtronic Engine" is destroyed.

If your second Standby Phase after activating "Morphtronic Engine" is skipped, or if the "Morphtronic Engine" cannot be destroyed (due to "Magic Reflector", etc.), "Morphtronic Engine" is not destroyed and remains equipped to the "Morphtronic" monster. The monster's original ATK remains doubled.

The effect to destroy the equipped "Morphtronic" monster during your second Standby Phase after activating "Morphtronic Engine" starts a Chain.

If a "Morphtronic" monster is equipped with 2 or more copies of "Morphtronic Engine", the additional copies are redundant because only the monster's original ATK is doubled.

    Poison Chain

    CSOC-EN053 (Continuous Spell Card)

[During the End Phase of your turn, if you did not attack, your opponent sends cards equal to the number of face-up "Iron Chain" monsters you control from the top of their Deck to the Graveyard.]

The effect of "Poison Chain" that activates in the End Phase starts a Chain.

If your opponent has fewer cards in their Deck than the number of "Iron Chain" monsters you control, "Poison Chain's" effect does not activate.

    Paralyzing Chain

    CSOC-EN054 (Continuous Spell Card)

[When a card(s) is sent from your opponent's Deck to the Graveyard by a card effect, inflict 300 damage to your opponent.]

"Paralyzing Chain's" effect is a Trigger Effect.

    Teleport

    CSOC-EN055 (Continuous Spell Card)

[Once per turn, if your opponent controls a monster and you control no monsters, you can pay 800 Life Points to Special Summon 1 Psychic-Type monster from your hand.]

Paying 800 Life Points is a cost.

When you first activate (from your hand or flip face-up on the field) "Teleport", you cannot also activate its effect. After its activation resolves, you can start a new Chain by activating its effect.

    Psychokinesis

    CSOC-EN056 (Normal Spell Card)

[Activate only while you control a face-up Psychic-Type monster. Destroy 1 card on the field and take 1000 damage.]

"Psychokinesis" targets 1 card on the field.

Destroying the targeted card and inflicting 1000 damage are considered to happen at the same time.

If an effect is chained that removes every Psychic-Type monster from your side of the field, the effect of "Psychokinesis" still resolves.

If an effect is chained that removes the targeted card from the field, the damage is not inflicted.

    Miracle Fertilizer

    CSOC-EN057 (Continuous Spell Card)

[Once per turn, you can select 1 Plant-Type monster from your Graveyard and Special Summon it. You cannot Normal Summon or Set the turn you Special Summon a monster with this effect. If a monster Special Summoned by this effect is removed from the field, destroy this card.]

"Miracle Fertilizer" targets the monster(s) Special Summoned by its effect, both when it is selected in the Graveyard and while it is on the field. If "Miracle Fertilizer" is returned to its owner's hand, any monster(s) that was Special Summoned by its effect is no longer targeted, even if "Miracle Fertilizer" is activated again later.

If you Special Summon a monster with "Miracle Fertilizer", and later in the same turn "Miracle Fertilizer" is removed from the field, you still cannot Normal Summon or Set a monster that turn.

If you Special Summon 2 or more monsters with "Miracle Fertilizer", when any of the Special Summoned monsters is removed from the field, "Miracle Fertilizer" is destroyed.

If you activate the effect of "Miracle Fertilizer" and an effect is chained that removes the targeted Plant-Type monster from play, you can still Normal Summon or Set during that turn.

    Fragrance Storm

    CSOC-EN058 (Normal Spell Card)

[Destroy 1 face-up Plant-Type monster on the field and draw 1 card. If that card is a Plant-Type monster, you can reveal it to your opponent and draw 1 more card.]

"Fragrance Storm" targets 1 Plant-Type monster on the field. You can target any Plant-Type monster on the field.

Destroying the targeted card and drawing 1 card are considered to happen at the same time. Revealing the drawn card, if it is a Plant-Type monster, happens after that.

If, after revealing the drawn Plant-Type monster, you draw another Plant-Type monster, you cannot reveal the additional Plant-Type monster to try and draw another card.

If you have an active "Solemn Wishes" and you draw 2 cards with "Frangrance Storm", you will gain 1000 Life Points.

    The World Tree

    CSOC-EN059 (Continuous Spell Card)

[Each time a Plant-Type monster(s) on the field is destroyed, place 1 Flower Counter on this card. You can remove Flower Counters to activate this card's effects: ●Remove 1: Target face-up Plant-Type monster gains 400 ATK and DEF until the End Phase. ●Remove 2: Destroy 1 card on the field. ●Remove 3: Select 1 Plant-Type monster from your Graveyard and Special Summon it.]

Placing Flower Counters onto "The World Tree" does not start a Chain.

Each of "The World Tree's" effects target. Each effect is an Ignition Effect.

If the Monster Type of a monster on the field is changed to Plant-Type with "DNA Surgery", when it is destroyed, place a Flower Counter onto "The World Tree".

If a Plant-Type monster is destroyed by battle, place a Flower Counter onto "The World Tree" when the destroyed monster is sent to the Graveyard. If a Plant-Type monster is destroyed by a card effect, place a Flower Counter onto "The World Tree" after resolving the effect that destroyed the Plant-Type monster.

If "The World Tree" is removed from the field after resolving its "Remove 1:" effect, the ATK and DEF increase still lasts until the End Phase.

    Everliving Underworld Cannon

    CSOC-EN060 (Continuous Spell Card)

[Once during each player's turn, when a Zombie-Type monster is Special Summoned to your side of the field inflict 800 damage to your opponent.]

"Everliving Underworld Cannon's" effect is a Trigger Effect.

"Everliving Underworld Cannon's" effect always activates the first time a Zombie-Type monster is Special Summoned onto your side of the field during each turn.

    Secret Village of the Spellcasters

    CSOC-EN061 (Field Spell Card)

[If you control a Spellcaster-Type monster and your opponent does not, your opponent cannot activate Spell Cards. If you control no Spellcaster-Type monsters, you cannot activate Spell Cards.]

Spell Cards can still be Set while "Secret Villiage of the Spellcasters" is face-up on the field.

The effects of Continuous Spell Cards that were face-up on the field before "Secret Villiage of the Spellcasters" resolved can still be activated.

    Omega Goggles

    CSOC-EN062 (Equip Spell Card)

[Equip only to a monster you control. Once per turn, you can look at 1 random card in your opponent's hand. The equipped monster cannot attack the turn you activate this effect.]

The effect to look at 1 random card in your opponent's hand is an Ignition Effect.

If "Omega Goggles" is unequipped from the monster after using its effect, the monster can attack during the turn.

If "Omega Goggles" is equipped to a monster that is unaffected by the effects of Spell Cards, after "Omega Goggles" uses its Ignition Effect, the equipped monster can still attack.

If control of the equipped monster switches to your opponent, "Omega Goggles" remains equipped to the monster.

    Battle Mania

    CSOC-EN063 (Normal Trap Card)

[Activate only during your opponent's Standby Phase. All face-up monsters your opponent controls are changed to Attack Position, and cannot change their battle positions this turn. All monsters your opponent currently controls must attack this turn, if able.]

You cannot activate this card if your opponent controls no monsters.

If your opponent controls a face-up Attack Position monster at the end of their Main Phase 1, they must conduct their Battle Phase during the turn “Battle Mania” is activated.

Monsters unaffected by Trap Cards, like “Elemental Hero Wildheart”, do not have to attack during the turn “Battle Mania” is activated.

During the Battle Phase of a turn in which “Battle Mania” was activated, if your “Ultimate Tyranno” attacks, but the attack is negated, it must still attack again if there is another monster in play. (It cannot attack the same target twice.)

    Confusion Chaff

    CSOC-EN064 (Normal Trap Card)

[Activate only when your opponent declares a second direct attack during the same Battle Phase. Conduct battle between the attacking monster and the first monster that attacked directly (other effects cannot be activated during this battle).]

    This card does not target.

When "Confusion Chaff" resolves, the battle caused by "Confusion Chaff" proceeds directly to the Damage Step.

This card cannot be activated when a single monster like “Hayabusa Knight”, etc., makes its second direct attack in the same Battle Phase.

If the first monster that attacked directly is face-down when “Confusion Chaff” resolves, it is flipped face-up and damage calculation is conducted normally.

If a monster’s attack becomes a direct attack due to a replay, it is still considered to be the first monster that attacked directly for “Confusion Chaff”.

If a monster declares a direct attack, but that attack is negated, it will not be considered the first monster that attacked directly that turn.

If  your “Amazoness Swords Woman” declares the second direct attack during a Battle Phase, and “Confusion Chaff” is activated, your opponent will take any battle damage from that battle.

    Urgent Tuning

    CSOC-EN065 (Normal Trap Card)

[Activate only during the Battle Phase. Synchro Summon 1 Synchro Monster. (Send the appropriate Synchro Material Monsters to the Graveyard.)]

    This card does not target.

This card cannot be activated during the Damage Step.

If the number of monsters you control changes due to an effect chained to “Urgent Tuning”, and you do not have a Synchro Monster of a Level you could Summon when “Urgent Tuning” resolves, you must show your Extra Deck to your opponent to prove that you cannot Summon a monster. You do not have to show your Extra Deck to your opponent if you would not be able to Synchro Summon at all when “Urgent Tuning” resolves. (Because you control only 1 monster, or control only Tuner monsters, etc.)

You can use monsters that are not affected by Trap Cards, like “Elemental Hero Wildheart” as Synchro Material Monsters for “Urgent Tuning”.

    Synchro Strike

    CSOC-EN066 (Normal Trap Card)

[Target Synchro Summoned monster gains 500 ATK for each Synchro Material Monster used to Summon it, until the End Phase.]

You cannot target a Synchro Monster when it is Special Summoned from the Graveyard.

You cannot target a Synchro Monster that was turned face-down by “Book of Moon”, etc., when it is later Flip Summoned.

    Prideful Roar

    CSOC-EN067 (Normal Trap Card)

[Activate only during damage calculation when the ATK of your battling monster is lower than the ATK of your opponent's, and pay Life Points equal to the difference in ATK. Your monster gains ATK equal to that difference +300, during damage calculation only.]

    This card does not target.

You can activate this card when a Defense Position monster you control battles.

If your monster’s ATK is higher than the ATK of the monster it’s battling when “Prideful Roar” resolves, “Prideful Roar’s” effect disappears.

    Revival Gift

    CSOC-EN068 (Normal Trap Card)

[Select 1 Tuner monster from your Graveyard and Special Summon it. Its effects are negated. Special Summon 2 "Gift Fiend Tokens" (Fiend-Type/DARK/Level 3/ATK 1500/DEF 1500) to your opponent's side of the field.]

This card targets 1 Tuner monster in your Graveyard.

“Revival Gift” only negates the Tuner monster’s effects that activate on the field. If you Special Summon “Sinister Sprocket” and use it as a Synchro Material Monster, its effect will activate in the Graveyard.

The Tuner monster and 2 “Gift Fiend Tokens” are considered to be Special Summoned at the same time.

You cannot activate this card if your opponent has 1 or fewer empty Monster Card Zones.

If the targeted Tuner monster is no longer in your Graveyard when “Revival Gift” resolves, you still Special Summon 2 “Gift Fiend Tokens” to your opponent’s side of the field.

    Lineage of Destruction

    CSOC-EN069 (Normal Trap Card)

[Activate only during a turn in which you destroyed a Defense Position monster your opponent controlled. Select 1 Level 8 monster you control. During this turn, the selected monster can attack twice.]

This card targets 1 Level 8 monster you control.

You can activate this card when a Level 8 monster you control destroys a Defense Position monster by battle, and target that Level 8 monster. It will be able to attack once more (two times total).

You cannot target a monster that can already attack twice in the same Battle Phase.

    Doppleganger

    CSOC-EN070 (Continuous Trap Card)

[When you take damage from the effect of a monster your opponent controls, inflict the same amount of damage to your opponent.]

“Doppelganger’s” effect starts a Chain after the effect that inflicted damage resolves.

If you take damage from two or more effects in the same Chain, “Doppelganger’s” effect will activate once for each of those effects after the Chain resolves. Then, “Doppelganger’s” effects will form a new Chain.

You cannot activate “Doppelganger” (flip it face-up) during the Damage Step.

“Doppelganger’s” effect will activate during the Damage Step if it was face-up on the field.

If “Cannon Soldier”, etc. is Tributed as a cost to activate its own effect to inflict damage, “Doppelganger’s” effect will still activate.

If you take damage from multiple monsters’ Continuous Effects at the same time, like “Rapid-Fire Magician”, “Doppelganger’s” effect only activates once, and inflicts damage equal to the damage from only 1 of those monster’s Continuous Effects.

You can activate (flip face-up) “Doppelganger”, and activate its effect as part of the same Chain Link, after a monster’s effect that inflicts damage to you resolves.

This card’s effect targets the Plant-Type monster to be Special Summoned.

This card’s effect to Special Summon starts a Chain.

If “Plant Food Chain” and the monster it is equipped to are destroyed at the same time, you can activate the effect to Special Summon a monster.

If the targeted monster is not on the field when “DNA Checkup” resolves, its effect disappears.

If the targeted monster has multiple Attributes, like “Light and Darkness Dragon” you only refer to the Attribute printed on the card when resolving “DNA Checkup”.

Your opponent declares 2 Attributes when the effect resolves, immediately before revealing the monster.
