Light will affect growth. I think that because plants usually grow
toward the sun, and you have to keep turning them because they would grow
crooked. Also I think that because the sun helps the plant grow with
the water added, and the sun is an important part to the plant.

The
purpose of my experiment was to find out if light affects growth.
I chose that project because my teacher told me that plants grow toward
the sun if you don't keep turning the plant. The hypothesis
of this experiment would be that light will affect growth. I think
that because if you don't keep turning the plant, the plant will grow crooked.
I also think that because my teacher told me that.
I cut a 3cm by 4cm hole in the top side of the large cardboard box. I put the box upside down over the plant. Then I had a 30mL beaker, so I could put 30mL of water in the plant every morning. Everday I observed the plant to see what happened, and I put my results on cardboard. Then I would take the box off of the plant, and I measured how far the stem went to the hole. The results of this experiment was that the plant did not grow toward the sun and the stem did not move. This experiment is good because it can help you if you get your own plant. It can also help you because if you don't take care of the plant, the plant will die or it will grow toward the sun. It can help scientist because if they leave a plant out and they don't turn it the plant will grow. It can also help scientists because they could not know this and they could do something wrong.

The results to my experiment was that the plant did not grow at all. |

The results of my experiment was that the plant did not grow toward the sunlight and light does not affect plant growth for my experiment. This happened because the plant didn't grow at all. The plant had already finished growing and didn't grow towards the sun. This experiment
is used in the world today because if you keep your plants hidden from
the sun and don't ever let them get the sunlight from the sun, the plants
will grow downwards and die.
