Two girls walk into Jones Residential Hall at Northwestern University at the same time. One is all by herself, dragging behind her two heavy suitcases, anticipating the check-in table. The other, looks around the campus as her dad carries her suitcase. She shakes as she crosses the threshold. The over packed girl stares at the princess in her Seven jeans and over-sized sunglasses and lists to herself, "conceited, full of herself, spoiled, and no friend potential." Simultaneously, the princess thinks to herself, "I've come to dork camp and there is no turning back." The dad looks at the two girls and predicts, "They are going to be best friends."

Glaring lights shine down, illuminating a runway. A tall model with intense blue-green eyes struts confidently down the runway showing off a sleeveless, beige and black, trench coat style dress. Junior Gabbi Kuhns “is a different person in front of the camera,” Junior Renee Lafleur, a friend of Kuhns’ who has accompanied her on photo shoots, said. “She’s very determined and knows what she’s doing.”

As teenagers make their way through high school, each chooses a different way to cope with the stress that comes with difficult school work, complex social interactions, and family pressure. Some choose to exercise, do yoga, play video games, or sleep. Other people chose less healthy ways. Some turn to drugs, alcohol, and sex, but another common reaction—although less publicized—is disordered eating.
