Skinny jeans: Females clothing has almost always been predominantly tight. From the corsets they sported centuries ago to the fashion trends such as leggings that exist now, such is apparent. Lately, though, men have been starting to catch on to the trend. As baggy jeans have usually been associated with the male sex, the new style for men is to sport the tighter, more form-fitting jeans.

Mountain View High School’s French club is proof of how you do not need to go all the way to France to discover an appreciation for French language and culture. Although the members of the French club may not spend their days eating goat cheese and baguettes, they have spread their knowledge of French by introducing the language to local preschoolers through skit performances that incorporate basic French.

Foreign exchange students fly halfway around the globe to visit a foreign country- a country where a different language is spoken, different food is served, and different customs are followed. Aside from a couple of photos and phone conversations, these students have no idea with whom they will be living with for the upcoming weeks.

Currently, Nicholas Navarro is a student teacher for Mountain View High School’s special education class. “Student teaching is a one year requirement for teaching credentials,” Navarro said.
