As music streams through the speakers in the parking lot, students sway back and forth, singing along. “I know people, I get nice deals,” they repeat. “ Get 'em $5 sell 'em $10 a pill.” These lyrics allude to an ongoing trend in adolescent drug culture – pill swapping, prescription drug abuse that involves the trading and selling of various prescription medications.
