Poster Art and Culture Change
In approximately the last 30 years, the public's tolerance of smoking, and understanding of tobacco's deadly effects, have changed radically. The American Cancer Society helped lead this culture change and designed posters to spread the anti-tobacco message in a glance.

1970: President Nixon signed the law banning advertising of tobacco on TV and radio.
