Donate to the Australian Breastfeeding Association

ABA's breastfeeding counsellors, who are mothers too, give their time voluntarily to help others. The association needs subscribers to ensure that we can continue to provide our counselling services free of charge. All donations are also greatly appreciated, no matter how large or small. All donations over $AUD2.00 are tax deductible.

To make a donation to the Australian Breastfeeding Association you can contact head office or pledge online.

New mums need support. Even when all seems to be going well there can be uncertainty. The Australian Breastfeeding Association helps mums with breastfeeding information and support in their role as mothers.

"The counsellor (on helpline) gave me reassurance, encouragement and hope." Katrina...mum to Emily and Jessica

YOU will be helping support and reassure new mums through ABA by donating to the What Goes Around... Comes Around appeal.

Some of the women supported by ABA later choose to train as volunteer breastfeeding counsellors themselves. They then support other women as they were supported - mother to mother.

"I so desperately wanted to give back and provide that support to new mums that had been given to me." Charmian...mum to Tamika & Malachi, and ABA breastfeeding counsellor

YOU can help ABA to train mums to become breastfeeding counsellors by donating to the What Goes Around... Comes Around appeal.

Friends and family can help new mums a great deal. But sometimes there are special circumstances that need that bit extra. The Australian Breastfeeding Association is backed by the latest research as well as countless years of personal experiences in all sorts of situations.

"I had what felt at times insurmountable difficulties breastfeeding my twins, and rang the helpline many times. The women listened and made me feel empowered to continue my breastfeeding journey, knowing it would improve." Rebecca…mum to Ruby, and twins Evie & Jett.

"I am so thankful to that little (ABA) booklet. It gave me hope in the days leading up to Sam's birth and then support and encouragement once my precious boy had arrived." Amanda…mother of Sam, born 5 weeks premature

YOU can ensure that mums are provided with both the facts and the art of breastfeeding to mums by donating to the What Goes Around... Comes Around appeal. Witnessing the growth of a baby through infancy to toddlerhood and beyond is amazing. Witnessing the growth of an uncertain new mum to a confident and inspiring woman is incredibly satisfying.

"Becoming involved with ABA has helped me to become the mum I wanted to be." Katrina…mum to Jack & Charlie

YOU can share the satisfaction of helping new mums' confidence in themselves to grow and flourish by donating to the What Goes Around... Comes Around appeal.
