Spring is here + it's time to FREAK OUT!






E am getting more surprised by thee day how fast this y-era is going! On Saturday Lady Jaye and E spent a charming afternoon with Conrad Ventur from USELESS magazine. He has commissioned Scott Treleaven ( see news archives a while ago near the very beginning, see what E mean about T.I.M.E. flying?) to do a short butter hopefully focussed interview on thee artist BREYER P-ORRIDGE as well as Kirstine thee wonderfull designer and person who made thee safety pin "GOD SAVE NEW YORK" dresses for Lady Jaye and my SELF to wear on stage on thee last detour ov Europe. Kirstine is in Australia so I.T. will be a feat ov co-ordination as we L-ov-E our sleep! Conrad thinks thee 2nd issue should go off to thee printers in about 2-3 weeks. Needless to say we'll let you all know when I.T. is out and available. Anyway, Conrad came over and did an amazingly relaxed photo-shoot in thee Gallery area ov Thee Gates Instutute. We don't have any prints yet, butter by thee look ov thee polaroids even "mouse" might actually like them!

Talking ov whom...which is what that person craves, so enjoy mouse...coum ov you are very kind and caring, defending our feelings and supporting and actually really understanding thee Pandrogeny project. We appreciate that. Once in a while you'll find an Individual who uses, and E mean USES, a website, or chat room to develop a character in order to draw attention to themselves. Thee simplest way to get attention is to deliberately be obnoxious, or hurtful, or be mean spirited about whatever group, or cause, or topic is thee theme and raison d'etre ov thee forum. In our case, you AND us, that would be PTV3, Pandrogeny, Thee Majesty, TOPI (soon) and related themes and projects. In a nuttshell our right, all ov us, to becoum CREATION through creativity. To write our OWN narrative and L-if-E regardless ov thee pressure to conform or surrender to peer group, cultural, or other pressure. There seems to be a certain character type that in coum way imagines itSELF flexing critical and independent muscle by attacking thee others present in this virtual forum. I.T. is inevitably thee simplest strategy to feel SELF important to act disinterested or unimpressed. Needless to say thee last motive on earth ( or elsewhere) driving people like all ov us is acceptance, or a craving to impress. We all know that thee easiest target to ridicule is one that cannot respond, or one that takes risks and tries to experiment with fresh options in L-if-E for THEMSELVES no matter how trivial they might seem to those outside observing.

For example. Lady Jaye an my SELF have privately chosen to explore our thoughts about identity and a belief that evolution is crucial to thee survival and self esteem ov thee humanE species in many ways. One ov these is thee idea that Lady Jaye proposed that thee body is a pre-Astoric "suitcase" holding us back from potential futures. We will need to give up any ideas ov thee body being sacrosanct if we wish to explore space. Genetic mutation and engineering will be essential for meaningful space travel. Whilst our Pandrogeny process began as an intimate private thing, inevitably I.T. became visibly to a public because we are performers and artists as well. We feel that we are duty bound to TRY and share some ov our thoughts on why we do these proceedures with you who visit here, as a politeness and sign ov respect from us to you. This is not a necessity, butter an offering we make in a more intimate space where we hope friends and allies dwell.

All that being understood, we are coumtimes surprised that coum people repeatedly visit whilst proclaiming disinterest, being pointlessly rude and only coumplaining. I.T. has never been appealing to US to devote hours ov priceless T.I.M.E. and L-if-E to buying CDs, paying to go to gigs, coumtimes building websites dedicated to describing what we DON'T like, and emailing disdain deliberately to hurt coumone's feelings repeatedly when I.T. is coumthing, or art, or one we don't enjoy or like! From thee outside I.T. is hard to coumprehend why anyone would waste their energies on negativity alone. To get pleasure from hurting coumone else, or wishing to, especially coumone you probably don't know, seems highly irrational.

Over thee y-eras this has happened so often I.T. must be a common emotional need for a quite big group ov people. Once in a while, as an excercise we've wondered who would devote so much activity to coumthing they didn't like, hoping to hurt people for thee sake ov I.T. because coumtimes this happens to friends and they ask us "why?" Thee only motive we can fathom is an emotional emptiness that drives so many ov these types to crave ATTENTION from people they are coumhow envious ov. I.T. is a form ov parasitism. They attach themselves to coumthing/one they perhaps unconsciously sense (to them) has power or is attractive. Butter to admit that to themselves would be an admission ov interest which THEY see as a weakness, or lacking in THEMselves which makes them angry at having this part ov their emotional make-up exposed. This in turn creates anger grown from hurt inside and then rather than work on becouming more coumplete TO THEMSELVES they direct this feeling ov inadequacy at thee thing that awoke thee suppressed pain ov fragmented SELF-esteem.

All ov us are insecure and have low SELF esteeM during our lives. E certainly experience doubt. Thee TOPI answer would be to try and locate thee feeling that drives one to be mean spirited and then look for positive ways to reduce I.T. until there is revealed a way to use CREATION to discard I.T. by replacing I.T. with a new perception ov SELF.

So...assuming this will keep happening in thee comments zone. Which ultimately is YOUR zone to indirectly confer and discuss...thee best strategy might be to ignore silliness. Why waste your irreplaceable T.I.M.E. by allowing
coumone to be hurtful just because they can?

Once more though, before we end this topic forever, THANK YOU for caring so much. Perhaps I.T. is worth thee irritation you experience because they give us all thee reason to express our mutual respect for each other.

This is a T.I.M.E. when thee "straight" establishment culture and status quo thrive upon fear and upon lack ov respect. Usually disrespect is born ov lack ov SELF respect.

If our attention is directed "over there" we won't need to look at our SELF or what is here.

MEANWHILE...

BIG BOY is doing great. Whilst E was ill with pneumonia twice and then recouperating from surgeries, he curled up with me day after day keeping me warm and feeling unconditionally loved. He has a lot ov Jack Russell so he dances really well on his back legs, especially to try and beg food! He still tries to manipulate us into being lax on his leash, butter sloWly he is earning to heel. E wish E could explain it's primarily to keep him safe from cars. Lady Jaye is much better at disciplining him than me so far. Big Boy has made friends with Morrison edley's cat CLACKY and THEy play and rough house whenever they meet.

Talking ov my sweetie, Lady Jaye...S/he just told me that a snack is in progress which re-MINDS me E haven't eaten anything today except half a bowl ov porridge ( ov course!)...back shortly.

NEW PTV3 CD

We recorded MAXIMUM SWING and NEW YORK STORY 2 weeks ago. Nick thee engineer is great. E all ways find I.T. tough to do vocals on a studio project at first. Because PTV3 improvise so much, thee lyrics are constantly shifting and changing. Thee themes remain thee same butter thee actual words can just get snatched from my unconscious in thee momeant. E often see people at gigs trying to sing along to an old song and then, cheerfully or perplexedly, see confusion when E start singing coumtimes TOTALLY new lyrICS or sections. We feel I.T. is part ov why we play live and coum ov you coum and see us. We aren't trying to reproduce thee albums perfectly. Each disconcert is a new momeant, with a new group ov people sharing their precious money and T.I.M.E. We feel that by adding spontaneity we can POTENTIALLY give a lot extra, coumthing shared only by those who were present. Thee interaction ov band and audience becoums pivotal to what is played in a Much more organic process that is more inclusive ov all present than is usually thee case.

RECORDING however, requires me to try and locate thee ESSENCE ov thee idea ov a song. What is preserved on a CD becoums in a way, thee OFFICIAL version ov a song. A precis ov thee theme. So E work very hard trying to pin point thee poetry within thee story. Often E go inside and thee song is like a film that E watch and try to describe. A surreal world filtered through my L-if-E and perceptions coumhow described with words. Those words themselves are each a package ov emotional and conceptual information that is both intimate and intuitive. E am often also an observer ov thee lyrical unfolding as if coumone else is singing or writing. those are my favourite momeants, when E really am disconnected from any self-consciousness and thee poetry is being created by coum other being E have no direct control over. When this happens, like I.T. did at thee Knitting Factory with Thee Majesty last month, E experience thee nearest possible to mindfull bliss.

By thee way, talking ov ideas. Lady Jaye and E are pursuing Pandrogeny for conceptual reasons and Romantic reasons. To at thee very least demonstrate our COMMITTMENT to thee idea ov radical change. Ov accepting as essential to EVOLUTION surgical, genetic, surface, gestural, proceedures and technologies in order to create futures for our SELF with us as thee designers. Pandrogeny is about declaring that consensus reality is FICTIONAL. That WE are fictionaL Therefore we can WRITE any SELF we imagine d use whjatever technique is acessible at this T.I.M.E. to manifest our imagination. WE ARE NOT TRYING TO BECOUM TWINS. NOR TO BE ANY IDEAL OV BEAUTIFUL. NOR ARE WE TRYING TO CHANGE GENDER. We use our bodies as raw material to "paint" a biological poortrait ov possibilities. To let go ov attachment to how we looked. Thee inevitable paradox ov alchemical thinking. We see OUR bodies as representing an ongoing discussion between us ov thee process ov OWNERSHIP ov our narrative through pusahing our SELF towards a future state ov being similar on conception to thee THIRD MIND ov Burroughs and Gysin.

You could say WE ARE CUT-UPS TO BECOUM A CUT-UP.

A sense ov irony is all ways advisable in L-if-E. If we end up not liking how we look that might well mean we are succeeding. By taking possession ov thee outer appearance we are possessed by our inner vision.

We have been very busy here working on many projects simultaneously...PTV3 is excited to announce that the new album is officially underway! It is being recorded at Rototherm Studios in scenic New Jersey which is owned and operated by our own David Max with engineer Nick Kramer. Larry Thrasher is currently mixing the first two tracks at his studio in California. PTV3 live sound guru Scott Reiter will produce some alternate mixes. We expect to release the album early 2006 with lots of dis-concerts to follow!

Some of you found the new items in the web shop before I even had the chance to announce them! We found some great things in the archives and we put them into the shop immediately...as more boxes are opened we will continue to make all of this GP-O history...new and old available to you! Lately we have been listening to many live recordings given to us by audience members from last years European De-tour.
