Hypothesis
My hypothesis is that sandy soil would be a better medium for the plants to grow in.

Abstract
I wanted to see witch is a better medium for plants, so I can grow plants and they will be in the best condition possible.
Materials
  • 1.seeds
  • 2.sunlight
  • 3.water
  • 4.sandy soil  potting soil
  • 5. Two planting pots
Procedure
  1. I will plant two seeds , one in potting soil one in sandy soil.
  2. They will get the same amount of water, the same amount of sun light and they will be in the same size pot.
  3. Over all they will get the same treatment.
  4. Whichever seems to be in the best condition would have the best medium.

Results
The plant that had the the sandy soil was growing well, but the pot with the potting soil seemed to be in better condition.   It was taller and seemed to be stronger and had more green on the leaves.

Conclusion
My hypothesis was wrong.  Potting soil was a better medium than sandy soil.   After I did some research I wanted to change my hypothesis.   If you plan to plant a plant you should use potting soil, unless it is some kind of cactus plant.
