Materials: 100 g Regia Cotton Color (50 g = 200 m), set of 5 double-pointed needles, in size required to obtain correct gauge - I was using size 2.0 mm/ US size 0.
Gauge: 30 sts/42 rows = 4" (10 cm) in stockinette stitch, worked in the round.
Abbreviations:
k: knit
p: purl
Repeat these 4 rows until desired length.

Cuff:
Loosely cast on 60 st, divide onto 3 dpns (20 - 20 - 20), place marker and join for working in the round, being careful not to twist the stitches.
Work 10 rounds in k2p2 rib stitch.
Leg:
Work in leg pattern until desired length.
Heel Flap:
Slide the first 30 sts on a needle, work back and forth on the remaining 30 sts:
Row 1 (RS): Sl 1, k to end.
Row 2 (WS): Sl 1, p to end.
Repeat these 2 rows until you have 28 heel flap rows, end with a purl (WS) row.
Turn heel:

Row 2: Sl 1, p9, p2tog, p1. Turn.
