The other issue is one of legality. Personally I find some rules are not sensible. If it is a matter of a single step from one territory to another and I am allowed to buy my heartworm medication without a vets visit then I don’t see the problem. If I am buying exactly the same product but do not need to drive to the vets and fill in forms and spend more money for the priviledge then that is exactly what I will do. This is again down to personal opinion.

If you wish to get a prescription first then do so, but you will have the added inconvenience.
