How does Acid Rain Affect Plants?

Hypothesis 
 How does Acid Rain affect Plants?  I believe that the acid will cause the soil in the plant to dry out  
 
Abstract 
 The main thing I am trying to find out is, how does acid rain damage plant life.  What things does it do to the plants daily life. 
 
Materials   
  • 3 Spider Plants 
  • 1/4c Muratic Acid 
  • 1/4c Vinegar 
  • 1/4c Tap water 
  • Paper 
  • Measuring Cup 
  • Pen
Procedure   
What I plan to do to succeed in this project is:  Plant three Spider plants .  Mark each one of them A, B, andC.  Then in the plant marked letter A,  I would pour in a fourth of a cup of Sulfuric Acid (PH1).  For plant B, I would pour in a fourth of a cup of Vinager (PH3) into the soil.  For the last plant, I shall pour a fourth of a cup of Tap Water(PH6) into the soil.  Be sure to water each plant for three days straight, and observe for one week.

The numbers on the left side of the graph  represent the percent of damage caused to the plants.  The greater percent indicates the healthiest  plant .  The lowest percent indicates the weakest  plant.
 
Conclusion 
 My hypothesis was incorrect.  I guessed that something would happen to the plant with the acid in it.  But it was not the correct guess for this particular project.  I believe I got my results, because the liquids were all different.  They all had different effects on the same plant.  The main reason I choose this project, was to find out what damage this rain had on plants.  I found out that it killed the plants within 3 days.  It had the most effect compared to the Vinegar and Tap water.  I was accurate through the whole process.  I  recorded everything and wrote down my observation.  Also, I was consistent when I watered my plants.  One way I could improve my project is by, keeping the room temperature the same throughout the whole project.  One thing I could do differently to this project is, put each plant in different room temperatures, or purchase different plants and see what effects each liquid had on the plants.

This is the difference between the plants.  Plant A has Muratic Acid in the soil,
Plant B has Vinegar in the soil, and Plant C has Tap water in the soil.
