Latènezeitliche bronzene Hand- und Fußanhänger aus Mähren
Anhänger in Form einer Hand mit »Fica«-Geste finden im keltischen Raum bisher keine Analogien, im germanischen Raum wurden sie in Neu-Plötzin in Brandenburg und im slowakischen Devín gefunden. Die Darstellung der Hand mit der »Fica«-Geste ist jedoch zusammen mit dem Phallus von typischen Amuletten aus augusteischen Kastellen gut bekannt; Vorbilder sind daher wohl im republikanischen Milieu zu suchen. Die mögliche Vorliebe der Kelten für Amulette mit erotischer Bedeutung belegt ein Phallus-Anhänger aus Staré Hradisko. Auch die Anhänger in Fußform stammen aus Italien; nördlich der Alpen werden sie meist in die späte Hallstatt- und frühe Latènezeit datiert. Mährische Anhänger aus der mittleren und späten Latènezeit sind jedoch keine Einzelstücke; zeitgleiche Parallelen stammen aus Stradonice, Wederath-Belginum und aus Frankreich. Es ist nicht ausgeschlossen, dass sie im Mitteldonaugebiet hergestellt wurden, denn zwei Exemplare aus Němčice können für Halbfabrikate gehalten werden.
Latène bronze hand and foot pendants from Moravia
Pendants in the shape of a hand with »fica« gesture are so far unique in the Celtic area. In the Germanic area they were found in Neu-Plötzin in Brandenburg and in the Slovac Devín. However, the representation of a hand with the »fica« gesture like the phallus is well known from typical amulets from Augustan castles. Examples are therefore to be looked for in the Republican environment. The possible preference of the Celts for amulets with erotic connotation is indicated by a phallus pendant from Staré Hradisko. Likewise the foot-shaped pendants come from Italy; north of the Alps they are usually dated to the late Hallstatt and early Latène period. Moravian pendants from the middle and late Latène period are not without parallels; some of them are known from Stradonice, Wederath-Belginum and from France. Judging from two examples from Němčice which might be semi-finished products, it cannot be excluded that they were produced in the Central Danube region. M. S.
Pendentifs en forme de main et de pied laténiennes en Moravie
Les pendentifs en forme de main (mano fica) sont pour l’instant inconnus dans le monde celtique; deux exemplaires ont été retrouvés en contexte germanique à Neu-Plötzin (Brandebourg) et Devín (Slovaquie). La représentation d’une main avec ce geste de mano fica est bien connue dans les camps romains de période augustéenne, souvent en association avec une amulette phallique; les origines du symbole sont probablement à rechercher dans le milieu républicain. Le fait que les Celtes aient apprécié les amulettes phalliques est attesté entre autres par la présence d’un pendentif phallique à Staré Hradisko. Les pendentifs en forme de pieds proviennent également d’Italie, au Nord des Alpes on les date plutôt de la fin du Hallstatt-début La Tène. Les pendentifs de Moravie du milieu et de la fin de La Tène ne sont pas des exemplaires isolés, des parallèles existent à Stradonice, Wederath-Belginum ainsi qu’en France. Il n’est pas exclu que ces amulettes aient été produites dans les régions du Danube moyen car deux exemplaires de Němčice peuvent être interprétés comme des produits semi-finis. L. B.
