Editorial: The only gay Jesus Christ

ALL AFRICA – April 4, 2007: The Easter holidays or Good Friday is very significant in that yearly it’s being celebrated globally – also, very impressively, by non-Christians.

The day of the demise of Jesus Christ is fraught with many varying sentiments and beliefs according to different people, where some say Christ was neither a Christian nor monk but in fact he was gay – that is to say bisexual.

It became very clear of who Christ was – as one of the interpretations – during the Last Supper, for which not only that Leonardo da Vinci wanted to just paint the evening before Christ died bearing the historical epoch but he wanted to create ambiguous heated meanings.

One of the meanings came out after which Christ himself amorously [love was being preached throughout the process] washed his twelve disciples' feet, which could imply Christ’s attraction to other men – which is a normal homosexual practice. Or could we add that his practice was also promiscuous or polygamous?

Da Vinci’s portrait of the Last Supper purports evidence about Christ’s being, especially today as we unravel myths and facts about (homo)sexuality. There are many plausible meanings and interpretations that could be attached to Christ’s behaviour and lifestyle towards his sexuality.

One other concluding factor of him being bisexual is when subsequent studies discovered that Mary Magdalene was also one of Christ’s disciples, and both had sexual relationship, but the Bible deplores Magdalene for being sinful trying to conceal the existed relationship as Christ himself was saint and couldn’t associate with a sinner.
