Ms Wanjiru Muiruri on the Kenyan Sex Crimes Bill
Who is funding "progressive" human rights activists to rewrite Kenyan law, on the sly, with the intention of hoodwinking Kenyans into endorsing values they have not considered, and in most cases, do not support?

moffies gay life in southern africa by BartLuirink published by InkInc, an imprint of David Philip Publishers

Moffies is a collection of translated essays and reports written by Dutch journalist Bart Luirink during his frequent visits to southern Africa. The book is a honest look at gays and gay life in southern Africa as encountered by Luirink as he traveled through South Africa, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Zamibia, Lesotho and Swaziland in the 1990s. It considers, in particular, the advances gays have made in building a community and thus in establishing themselves as rightful citizens in these countries in the face of, at times, incomprehensible and resolute resistance from the region's governments. It also tells the more personal stories of those he met and came to know. At times these are inspiring tales of overcoming parental and social rejection while in other instances they remind the reader of the reality of constant struggle that have become the norm in the lives of many of southern Africa's gays. In amongst the struggles and victories of those he meets he weaves the social and historical context of homosexuality of each country he visits, in an apparent attempt to dispel the myth - so often espoused in homophobic propaganda - that homosexuality is un-African.
