January 23, 2006: African governments should wake up and flash out the increasing number and establishment of homosexuality on the continent just as the Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo openly came out and supported the Country's Anglican leadership stance against practices of sodomy and related same-sex relationships.

Obasanjo told a conference of Nigerian bishops that "Such a tendency is clearly un-Biblical, unnatural and definitely un-African". In the original sense, homosexuality refers to a sexual orientation characterized by lasting aesthetic attraction, romantic love, or sexual desire exclusively for others of the same sex. It can also refer to the manifestation of that orientation in the identity of an individual, possibly at odds with that person's sexual behaviour. It can refer to sexual relations with another of the same sex regardless of one's sexual orientation, self-identification or gender identity.

The argument that societies should allow change to take place in the due course of globalization is not a genuine reason to explain why Africans or other cultured societies should be submerged in the floods of moral decadence from the western world just because emulating the west is interpreted as being civilised and modernized.

The western world shouldn't assume the superiority of setting standards in world societies, in every sector whatsoever. Sodomy is present but silent in African societies. The silence is due to the antagonism in African cultural values that practitioners of sodomy decide to remain silent.

The increasing cases of child molestation is to blame on homosexuals, most of whose activists publicly deny that they want access to boys, many homosexual groups around the world are working aggressively to lower the age of sexual consent. Their cause is being aided by the professional psychiatric and psychological associations, which have moved in recent years toward normalizing paedophilia, much as they did with homosexuality in the early 1970s.

When the gay rights activists turned politically active, there wasn't a sufficient body of scientific information for them to base their gay activism on. So, you don't have to have a basic body of scientific information in order to decide to work actively for a particular ideology. The Gay Report, published by homosexual researchers Jay and Young in 1979, revealed that 73 per cent of homosexuals surveyed, at some time had sex with boys 16 to 19 years of age or younger.

Although homosexuals account for less than two per- cent of the population, they constitute about a third of child molesters. Also gaining access to children has been a long-term goal of the homosexual movements. Homosexual organizations around the world have embarked upon a vigorous campaign to lower actual age of consent laws by claiming that current laws are discriminatory against homosexuals.

The ever increasing numbers of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in Africa have done more harm than good to the richly cultured African society. Such NGOs hide under the cover of democratising and/or helping African governments to fight against poverty and illiteracy but in actual sense, the western sponsors of such organizations have ulterior motives.

Other organizations in the region have been registered to provide small-scale loans for self help projects to uplift the standard of living of the poor African populations but later they will be found supporting the gay rights. Such NGO's shouldn't be allowed to exist on our soil after totally diverting from their paper work.

After such NGO's attain local support, then the distant western sponsors pressurize the local managers to start preaching their gay messages to the beneficiaries and later such un-Africa, dubious and archaic practices are absorbed by the illiterate or poor beneficiaries of small loans. In Africa, a true family is one that is able to bear children meaning that there is and must always involve a man and woman in the reproduction process.

The African society attaches more value to an opposite couple that also bears children. The illicit so-called modern democratic behaviour of gay marriages has been supported by many rightful thinking members of the western society but they haven't explained whether such gay couples can bear children.

After celebrated English singer Elton John slid an engagement ring to his gay partner David Furnish, the U.S. President George Bush commented, "Why God smites gays and refuses to kill terrorists is anybody's guess," adding ,"anyway, God told me to sign into law a ban on same-sex marriage. I think that what happened in England shows the world what will happen on our shores if men are allowed to kiss each other." Claiming that a man derives pleasure from anal intercourse with a fellow man. This is totally unacceptable in the African cultural values and it's a reasoning that has been supported by scientists involved in scientific research.

After the invention of homosexuality, the western world has also invented bestiality, and this is slowly rooting among the African societies. There are very many cases in the west involving women having sexual intercourse with dogs and horses. And when such new illicit inventions gain strength, they are likely to be introduced to our society in Africa under umbrella organizations that will claim that having sexual intercourse is a right to sex choice.

African governments should join hands and craft stringent laws against homosexuality and also kick out organizations that champion gay rights and related unscrupulous behaviours on the black continent. And if found, such same-sex couples should be subjected to punishment by the cultural leaders.

Finally, what makes Africans greater is the fact that African cultures are deep-rooted and are for the positive benefit and respect of the society. The western uncultured behaviours and norms should not be accepted under the pretext of establishing a democratic, modern globalised world society.
