I speculated that the woman only had girls when there were no boys. She came to me in a skirt that showed her legs... and gave me an indication that she expected me to be of some assistance.

the era of the homosexual article lacks analysis and is ridiculously judgemental

I think there is a big difference between these two statements:
"When I approach a guy its because I can tell that he is that way inclined and if they say no, its often because they are living in denial and suppressing their feelings," (Some Gay Guy - SGG) and "For gay people to try and pressure other men into homosexuality by insisting that just because they were hit on by gay guys at some point or the other automatically makes them homosexual is ludicrous to say the least." (E. Bokhutlo - EB). The way it is put in the article though, it just sounds judgmental and strongly lacks analysis.

"I'ts often because they are living in denial and suppressing their feelings." I think it was a personal opinion that needs to be put into perspective.

Personally I recognize this pattern of "telepathy" and I have heard of it for the longest time, it's called the "gaydar" (reference to "radar"). The gay-dar is a recognition reflex, based on the fact that there are patterns among us and similarities that we share, ("a dyke on a bike"), I feel it is because a lot of us are very likely to be more inclusive, adventurous, open and willing to know ourselves and make ourselves happy. Therefore we are recognisable to each other; we go to similar places and share the same kind of fun. Of course it is dangerous to generalise, but often is the right kind of generalisation for me, since it has nothing to do with automatically.

Plus, I meet more people who look gay and who are actually in self-denial than I meet self-assured metrosexuals. So I think this guy's assumptions are not totally dumbfounded.

Eventually, I don't think you force someone to become gay. The notion of "pressure" there is actually quite funny. And even if SGG was putting some pressure on the other one, what about those of us who have been and are forced into schools, centres, hospitals, to cure our gayness, when we are not disowned, abandoned, punished for it? Don't you think it would be a good lesson for straight people to experience any kind of pressure like that of having people come up to you and throw in your face that they know better than you what you like and who you are? This is called irony of history, l'arroseur arros " in French, and reminds me of affirmative action in the US.

"And by the way I still don't understand why in a gay relationship one of the partner has to pretend to be a woman and in a Lesbian relationship why one woman has to try so hard to behave and dress like a man."
In any relationship, no one is expected to look or act a certain way. Unless you think you are. Personally I do cross-dressing and I am also a drag king performer and in terms of appearances and disguise, I know quite a bit. I don't have to try to look/act or not look/act like a man or a woman. I do it the way I do it. Besides, the notion of gender has changed in mentalities and discussions (it was about time): you can't put people into categories if you are going to limit the number of the said categories. This is called the gender fluidity and anyone telling me I look/act like a man, or woman I tell them: you sound like a dork. Or if I'm in a good mood: what do you mean?

"A simple solution one would imagine is if it's a man you want then why not get the real thing and not subject yourself to a whole life of sex toys." What the fuck is that? I find this statement very inappropriate and dangerous. I don't feel the need to justify myself on that. It reeks of intolerance, ignorance and judgment.
