Transgender and Intersex: To create strong support and directly address for Transgender and Intersex people in Uganda, SMUG has created a TI desk, yet to be filled.
Advocacy: SMUG's Vision is a liberated LGBTI community. To strengthen LGBTI advocacy SMUG has created an Advocacy desk, to handle issues of, security, and litigation both local and mainstream. David Kato as the Advocacy Officer.
Governance and general assembly: The interim governance of SMUG shall be for one year and general assembly shall be held January 2010.
